If we finally get an empathetic and sincere leader after these locusts, it’s then you’ll realize Nigerians are not adaptive as we assume. They’ll demand for things they didn’t demand under the leaders that hate them.

I think there’s a misunderstanding of how statistical analysis works. 200 million Nigerians doesn't mean you must sample 2 million. Once a sample exceeds a certain size, diminishing returns sets in. The aim is the get a representative sample. So Piggyvest even went beyond. If
UNCLE@MrOlibaba

Let's tell ourselves the truth. This stat is misleading. PiggyVest users are not a perfect representation of all Nigerian adults. I don't even use them. Also their customer base is lean compared to the population of Nigeria: They just have digitally aware users, younger demographics, some salary earners and side hustlers. Using a platform-specific insight as a “national truth,” is a misinterpretation of fact.

If the respondents were properly distributed and weighted, the insight is directionally valid. If not, then that's where we should be careful of bias. Even the World Bank and National Statistical bodies don't survey millions. Typical sample is in the thousands.

African countries paid roughly 9% interest on dollar bonds in 2024. Latin America paid 6.5%. Emerging Asia paid 4.7%. A new African Credit Rating Agency is being built to fix that gap, here's what's at stake.

This Nomba site thing is genuinely baffling. All these faults are only noticeable to you “experts”. Yes, the design principles are valid and should be adhered to. But the base of design has and should always be functionality. Nobody is saying don’t be excellent in YOUR own work. But quite frankly on this matter you’re obsessing on the wrong things. It feels like mean spirited bullying, and that’s why I will fight you people on it. Both owner and customers have repeatedly said they don’t have an issue with this matter. Same funny behavior we’ve seen with designers on here redesigning peoples logos and products. Who sent you? If I say you should go build your own brand and design how you want now, they will call me agbaya. “It’s vibe-coded”, “It’s lazy”, “They could have done more”… the whole essence of AI tools is free you up to use your brain on your actual work. They are a fintech, not a graphics studio. I even saw the former designer comment under. Do you think it’s the business they were operating in 2023 they still do today? Why would they use the same site? - As an aside, the best founders build their solutions quickly and focus on distribution. This discuss just reminds me that people obsess too much on what wont be the decider.

@eruskkii @babavhally They might even have light on a steady basis and two months after they don't have light again. Light stuff in Nigeria is tricky. Even band A gets downgraded..

@eruskkii My neighbour in the next compound swore with her life that they have light, I paid for rent, I went to a shop to buy water, I asked for cold one, they looked at me weird as if I asked for their heads. It's been almost 3 months, I have seen light for up to 10 days.

5. Even if there's no flood or water log in the area, there might be ground water. Soaks the walls and affects your stuff in the house. Xheck the walls of all the houses in the area. Does it look wet? green-ish? They might have painted the house you're checking.

4. If there's borehole in the compound. Find out the nature of water pumping. Does every flat have their dedicated tank or are you sharing? If you're sharing, whose.prepaid meter is the pumping machine on? Separate ? Or is it on one of the flats?
