@timnelson_mpr Another reason why they nip off branches: Squirrels overwinter in treetop nests built from branches and insulated with leaves. All those nipped-off branches may become nest material.

Last year, oak trees on my block had almost no acorns. Now, nuts are giant & falling like rain. As are truckloads of green leaves. Squirrels seem to be nipping off thousands of small, inaccessible branches to drop acorns into easy reach. Never saw it quite like this before.

It’s always full of all the regular stuff you need for an in-person session. Variety of writing utensils, paper, scissors, stapler, disinfecting wipes, speakers, adapters, etc.

OK #coopext folks, how would you advise a new #extension educator to spend $15K in startup funds? Obvs context dependent (and rare, in my experience!), but looking for good ideas. @drdavecoyle @Leslie_Boby @UCsierraforest
