For as accomplished of a yugioh player that you are, which means you must be intelligent, you still don’t get it do you?
If you set up on demand events with full groups so you can play instantly every time, then people like me who would want to join one myself would have to wait (maybe even HOURS) to play one event.
You’re gaming the system and preventing people from earning tickets.
Then selling them for profit.
How do you not see this is a bad thing?

I’d be pissed if I went to a Regional Qualifier and couldn’t get the metal legend I wanted and earned because some team is FARMING them for money

Went to the Riftbound RQ in Sydney and had a group with the intent to farm metals. I’d say it went pretty well.

The optics alone of Riot staffers allowing groups of people to farm metal legends (LOOK AT THE PICTURE!) solely for cash profit is terrible optics at minimum

The biggest complaint I get and honestly have about Riftbound is that alot people don't love the game for the game and are just financebros and you are proving it right.

@codydebosmtg @BrasWdps If you read the threads, we were transparent with staff about our intentions the whole time and gave feedback on how to fix the exploits. Everything was by the book and they made changes throughout the event.

Look, this isn't a personal attack against you. I'm using ur tweet as a jumping off point to address this issue.
I agree with the above points you mentioned about 10 tickets being too few & prize wall needs to be limited or it won't even feel like prizing. Not everyone will get one and that's ok.
However, the current set up is extremely exploitable in various ways between power farming and ticket buying. This should be a priority issue to be address for regional events.

@xngelkitty Ya Houston being 10 was not ok. These will always be scarce and the people that put in the work will be the ones that get them. No way to make it accessible to everyone without ruining their value. Everyone could do what we did though, and I let in as many people as I could

It was initially very possible to earn metal cards solo but people were buying them out so quickly that they upped it to 40 to try to fix the problem but it didn't fix shit. It only made it harder for individuals but people who wanna sell for profit just made pods & power farm.
It's a problem. You can't deny that. If you're not scalping, then im not talking about you.

@xngelkitty If you weren’t able to pool tickets, the metals would only be available to the highest performing players in each event. Just a different problem. I think pooling is fine, just limit the amount of tickets attainable in a time frame. Our feedback patched the system 3 times.

I’ll admit farm was a poor choice of words. This was for a massive group to make sure all our trips were free.

everyone calling him a scalper but they don’t know this took 40 people across main event/ode/scheduled side events. Not even 1 per person. No tickets bought, all events played out, we did this as a community and passed the feedback to riot and uvs that the system is flawed.

@esala_w Played all weekend on side events but couldn't win enough to get a metal. Left with 26 tickets. That was my attempt at getting the Renata metal :s
