@mermaidwrites Being a writer is 20% understanding the context of vocabulary and 80% second guessing your knowledge of it. (I've questioned this entire response and revised it twice.)

Ever write a word and then think, "wow what does that word mean?" And then you look it up and you're like "Wow, I'm a genius..." But did I even really know that word or did I just guess it and bam it was right? 🤔

Just an unpublished author wondering about being published one day. How do you handle low rating reviews or even negative comments on your socials? I have been blessed so far to not draw the eye or ire of the Negative Nancys but how does one normally approach those situations?

@ElChandler I found an unrevised copy of To Sleep In A Sea of Stars in an antique store. It's taken me 5 years so far because the physical weight of the book stresses me out, but I will never stop talking about how cinematic the world-building is.

Serious writing question: how long is too long for a book? My fantasy book will most certainly be over 125K words. I want to see what’s acceptable!
