@alspeculiarart Sorry to hear that, sounds frustrating but also not correct, two ideas, new fabric should be washed or rinsed before painting and fixing should be by ironing for a full 5 minutes on the reverse, does this help or is it something else? Pebeo Team.

Hi Pebeo paints just thought I would let you know how disappointed I am in your fabric paints. I spent many hours on this portrait jacket, which is now ruined. After ironing and washing on a cold setting, ( apparently I can wash your paints on a 40 setting 🤣🤣🤣) @espacepebeo

@HelenaLDavis Hi Helena, here are the test results.They have checked the batch and there are no abnormalities, they have tested it on white and black fabrics and it covers correctly. If the white basecoat is not dry then it will taint the red.I have sent you the email with pics'. John.

@espacepebeo No no not that the paint will damage the faux leather, I’m wondering if the iron will? Because I have to have it on such a high heat for a long period of time. Or do you think it will be okay? Also does the paint actually fix to the faux leather, I wasn’t sure?

@espacepebeo I emailed your company a few weeks ago about a major issue I've had with your fabric paints and am yet to hear back! This is the 2nd time I've had to come through twitter to get in contact with you because you don't respond to emails. Please help!

@HelenaLDavis Hi Helena, we can't comment as to the faux leather, better to talk to whoever supplies that, we have another product for leather, Pebeo Deco, it is reasonably durable but not washable.

@HelenaLDavis Hi Helena, I don't understand the problem very well, is it that you're concerned that the paint might damage the faux leather? Whatever the issue we always recommend that you test a small piece first.

@espacepebeo Thank you! Actually while I’m talking to you, I thought I’d quickly ask. I’m currently painting on faux leather jackets but I’m not sure about sewing the paint. I don’t want to damage the faux leather. Do you have any suggestions at all? Do you think it would be okay?

@espacepebeo Okay great, thank you! Product name: Pebeo Setacolor Opaque Colour: Red (80) Batch Number: 84340601 I’m not sure if that is the batch number. It was a number that had been printed onto the lid.

@espacepebeo Would you not be able to cover the cost of the postage instead? Funds are a bit tight for me at the moment and because of the awkward size of the paint, I don’t know how much it will cost.

@espacepebeo how do I use this crackling medium ? Do I add to paint or paint it on and then paint over it as the bottle has no instructions

@espacepebeo Hi, that’s okay. So I’ve done the test but it’s still doing the same thing! I did one swatch using the lightening medium and one without. The red had a good few layers of white over it as well.
