@TradeZella 12.32 profit factor over one month isn’t where I’d say a real backtest start. Not knocking the potential edge here but I think there are too many variables not mentioned or factored e.g slippage.

This is what a real backtest looks like
Not perfect, but consistent with a solid RR
That’s where the edge actually comes from 🔥

One of my students backtested my model 14 wins 3 losses 82.35% win rate Over a 1:2.5 average RR Insanely profitable

Disagree on the framing.
The real choice for most traders isn’t prop firm vs. $1M personal account - it’s prop firm vs. trading a $10K-50K personal account forever. Building $1M from scratch is a decade+ of compounding, assuming no blow-ups along the way.
The math actually favors prop firms on risk asymmetry. Lose a $500 eval, you’re out $500. Lose 5% on a $200K funded account, you’re out $0 of your own capital and you re-eval. Meanwhile your personal account stays untouched and keeps compounding. That’s not a worse setup than risking your own money at small size - it’s a better one.

Stop using prop firms
I’ll admit - it takes longer to build a $1m trading account than it would to get $1m in funding
But it’s so much better in every way
You don’t get your payouts “rejected”
You don’t need to spend weeks grinding evals - you just make profit on your account from the start
You have total freedom on what you want to do with your money
I get it - prop firms seem easy
But the % chance of you making it with trading is already pretty low - the % of people who make consistent prop firm payouts is even LOWER
You’re making it more difficult for yourself for no real reason

The mega-caps are doing the heavy lifting — when you weigh every stock equally, the index only does about half as well.
If you own SPY or any cap-weighted index fund, your “diversified” exposure is increasingly a concentrated bet on a few names at the top.
Not automatically bearish, but it does mean the index is more fragile than the headline number suggests. If those few names roll over, there’s nothing underneath to catch it.

@SpiritAirlines is done.
17,000 jobs gone. First major US airline liquidation in 25 years.
The cause of death wasn’t fuel costs or a failed bailout. It was strategic, and it happened years ago.
The legacy carriers learned to copy Spirit’s playbook — and Spirit had no answer.
