It’s time to spread awareness about ARMY etiquette. As BTS gains new fans every day, it’s important to show them what made BTS and ARMY special from the beginning: mutual respect 💜

It comes down to this: BTS themselves have asked ARMYs not to notice them or follow them while they’re out in public. The official fandom rules even state this. So if you’re doing that anyway, you’re choosing clout and selfish indulgence over their safety. Doesn’t matter if they smile or “act” happy - they know they will get criticized if they don’t. And you’re forcing them to not have a second to breathe to themselves. “But they’re a celebrity” - if you can’t treat all people as humans, you need to think about your life choices. Just admit you’re selfish and care more about a photo than their safety or peace. They’ll remember the cities where they could explore in peace and which ones they couldn’t.

I think a reminder is needed:

Since their private travel info are getting leaked again & again. ITS TIME FOR A REMINDER. 1) DONT STALK TANNIES 2) LET THEM EXPLORE THE CITY FREELY, DONT BOTHER THEM 3) DONT SHARE THEIR HOTEL OR OTHER INFOS. 4) DONT SPREAD THE LEAKED INFO, IF U BY CHANCE SEE ONE.

@shadydoorags I always appreciated the headcanon that posited that Katara was supposed to have been the next Avatar, but that Aang being frozen meant she wasn't. It fits so well with her themes of justice, talent, etc.

Someone once said that Katara is a prodigy but the writers were scared to call her one and I've believed this claim ever since. The girl's bending prowess is a case where the story tells something different than it is showing. We are shown multiple times in Book Water that Katara was born with natural raw power in her bending, hinting at her potential to become a great master. Her only weakness was that she required a master to demonstrate the techniques to her. Without one, she was considered a slow learner. However, even though that's made clear, Pakku doesn't give credit to her talent. He instead says her quick mastery of the element is due to her hard work and determination, because that's the narrative we're supposed to believe, even though Zuko, whose been firebending for years with the best teachers and has always struggled with his element, is still learning advanced techniques from a master at the start of the show and is shown to be on par, if not worse than Katara by the end of the first season. Don't get it twisted, I'm not saying Katara didn't work hard, but when you compare her to prodigies like Azula and Aang, and then do the same with non-talented hard workers like Zuko, she fits way more snuggly with the former than the latter.

@Brianycus I've noticed some people fall into the hole of 'Oh, he's like an action hero, of course he's super macho and overly aggressive' (an actual take I've seen, that I've paraphrased). He has so much more complexity than that, that it upsets me to see him boiled down to that flatness.

Leon S. Kennedy is one of those male characters who are SO HORRIBLY mischaracterized because of his looks that they forget the actual personal and complex nature of her character. And when you talk about it, they think you're adding too much into something than "wasn't there."

When a character in a book does something so embarrassing for them that you have to put the book down bc the secondhand embarrassment is so bad - multiple times even. I am in for an interesting time.

@thechosenberg As a prior picky eater myself (it took me years to work on it, and it's still not fully gone), he's fine to be a picky eater himself. What makes it a problem is that he's making it hers. She's the one making the meals, he can't stand the smell of her cooking other foods, etc.
