@meribah The hatred of vocal fry isn't sexist; it irritates the listener and has nothing to do with the gender of the speaker. Ira Glass does not have a vocal fry. Yes, it is your voice, which is not suited for hosting a podcast.

It’s wild that people will find my website, click on the form submission and send shit like this. Like whyyyy????? Newsflash: the hatred of vocal fry for female hosts is sexist (Ira Glass has it too!) and my voice is just MY VOICE PEOPLE. I don’t do this on purpose.

Great question from the US. It’s because Brit media has snuffed out all trans voices - and amplifies the terfs, portraying them as the victims. It’s presented as a conflict between WOMEN and TRANS - when it absolutely isn’t. It’s terfs v trans.
