So yep I was in pain but playing Steel Pans with this lot is just too good for the soul to miss the opportunity. Now at home and in a soft warm bed with plenty of pain relief. Feeling sore but so very content.

Playing my first steel pan gig of the year tomorrow (2yrs actually as I missed all last year's gigs) and I've had a fibro flare meaning loads of pain in my left wrist 😔 Determined to play through it though. If you're in the area check us out at Westoe Village Fete.

@BishopDavidCarr I have the privilege of working with people with disabilities now & it’s incredible to experience the best of human nature when we’re out & about. Spending time with them & people who go out of their way for them is an absolute joy.

I have almost come to the end of our holiday.. not being fully mobile, all the time, we have faced incredible kindness, even the Taxi driver helping me out of the car There is still many good people

@jdgreear Oof. This is beautiful. I’ve been in the room with death twice (my 8yo son & my husband) & another two times just after it occurred (mother-in-law & my father). It has removed the distance; death feels like such a reality to me now & I can’t wait to see Jesus when it’s my time.

One year ago today my precious mom went home to be with Jesus. I miss her every day. But I know I haven’t lost her, just lost contact with her temporarily. Love this vision John Bunyan gave of our translation to heaven. I know it was true of her.
