@HistorianUSA1 That’s getting rid of TIPING CULTURE. That has nothing to do with the wage the employer pays their employees. It’s the same thing to do with the way minimum wage should be raised; there are states who already have rules to account for the amount of inflation.

Blue-haired waitress just destroyed the “end tipping” crowd with cold hard reality “If we get rid of tipping, good luck finding anyone to work Fridays, Saturdays, and especially Sundays.” She lays it out: Why would she bust her ass on 10x busier weekend shifts for the same low hourly wage as a slow Monday? The after-church crowd that “loves Jesus but hates everybody else”? The price hikes that are coming anyway? The restaurants that will cut staff on busy nights? She says the quiet part out loud: That money is coming out of your pocket either way. This is one of the most common-sense takes I’ve heard on this in a long time. Even with the blue hair and piercings… she’s 100% right. Tipping isn’t the problem — it’s the incentive system that actually gets people to show up and hustle. What do you think? End tipping?

Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

i’m truly shocked and at a loss for words right now. this morning i woke up to an email saying that my (first) twitch payout had been suspended due to fraudulent activity. i was going to submit a support ticket delivering the information it asked me to give them later in the day because i don’t stream for money so i wasn’t concerned about fixing the issue right in that moment. about an hour later i received an email stating that my account has been indefinitely suspended for “fraud” and the only details it gave me was for “purchases”. i actually have not spent money on twitch as poffu. i have been wrongfully suspended for something i haven’t even done. as soon as i saw the email (25 minutes later) i submitted an appeal and it was IMMEDIATELY declined, literally within seconds. i’m completely heartbroken and at a loss. i don’t know what to do in this situation as this has never happened to me before. vtubing has always been my dream and it feels like my journey just ended before it could even begin. if you’re seeing this, thank you for taking the time to read through this. if anyone has any advice or knows how to navigate through this very confusing situation safely, i’m all ears.

@hubbowastaken Remembrance - has a second Sapient individual involved Elation - Sharing Resources. We see this in the story regarding Wishpower, but we also get this expressed most in Evanescia & Super Wolf’s kits. Voracity would likely be “indiscriminate” - which would likely not feel fun.

the issue with playable paths in HSR is it started with types like “single target” “aoe” “shielding” “healing” then remembrance was “any path but has a summon”, and now elation is “any path but has extra skills” it makes the original paths mechanically redundant

@hubbowastaken The feeling i got from Elation was basically ‘Inverse Remembrance’ Furthermore, every Memosprite is a seperate, sapient, ego. (Cyrene represent how there were two versions of her, from different points in her personal timeline, existing.)

@karatademada The problem has more to do with how Generative AI floods the zone. AI is a tool; the issue is that it’s able to cause far more harm, at a much greater rate, than any New Tool that has been introduced before this. Also, the way the results are Black Boxed. SHOW THE WORK!

After nearly 4 years of AI, we’re still debating if AI art is “real art.” But here’s something I find interesting: If a painting makes you emotional, you call it art. If a movie moves you, you call it art. If music gives you chills, you call it art. If a photograph makes you stop and feel something, you call it art. So why does the conversation suddenly change when AI is involved? If AI art makes you feel something… wonder, sadness, nostalgia, joy, curiosity… isn’t that still art?
