Bluesky is just a platform. If they did bring it in, it would be up to them to set up feed algoriths and more to suit their wishes. 'Their wishes' , is a longer term and tougher fight, but a fight all the same and one we have no choice but to win.

Europe contains atl east five major colonial powers with a stinking history of bullying that seems in some cases to lie just out of sight. We all knew that and know that. It is indeed, why the union was such an important project and is no less important today. Every country in Europe should see EU membership as the most important aspect of their national security as well as key to their economic future. Is it not worth working a bit harder on democracy for a prize of that magnitude.

In a way, Musk is to blame for this mess in Europe. Continuous abuse of democracy in Europe by powering up the arguments that Musk or his friends or bosses ( who cares the arrangement) want heard and hiding the important arguments has been a feature of X. The problem for Europeans and those joining or rejoining, is that VDL looks nothing more than Jealous of the power of X and wants it all for herself.

These suggestions are the same ones I put forward months ago as the obvious options. What Ive never seen and neither has anyone I have doscussed this with, is the definition of "Problem Domain", i.e. what precisely do they want to achieve? Asking people to decide on such an enormous risk their personal soverignty without being open about their goal is flat wrong. Even if they manage to get a yes out of it, its not a legitimate agrement. Worrying for EU members and potential members is how very Gestao like all of this feels. I'm afraid it had to be said. We,ve seen TV footage. Britain is no better.

The number of signatories on the rejected petition is equivilent roughly half of the Jewish voting population of UK. The question is about why this tiny population has more infleunce on UK government that nearly 60 million British voters. Does anyone see the irony?

Yes, as it stands, WEF has grown into a monster that I even doubt many of its memebrs appreciate. There's nothing wrong with holding discussions and publishing op-eds,etc, but these guys have gradually asumed control of the globe and hold sufficient power via their mebership to make it happen. Urgent action is definitely required.

This is insane. EWhat makes these people imagine that the US can do what we cant. I gave them Facebook in 2002 and installed in Local authorites in UK but they couldnt see the future in it. I was working on AI in 2005 when they defunded the NGO and closed it down. Tech is not that hard, there are billionaires in te Valley selling stuff we could have found on Open source sites and tidied up. Its not tech skills thats a problem, its bloody attitude.

Iraq is not an uncivilised place, and most Iraqis are calm and civilised. We have to take into account what has been done to Iraqis by NATO and the impact on an individual when we judge their current behaviour. Many who helped NATO were then abandoned to be slaughtered by the other side and forced to migrate despite being promised asylum etc. Rape and abuse by western soldiers was very common. That doesnt make any bad behaviour OK and it has to be dealt with.
