The Ottawa Senators will be the toughest round 1 matchup the Canes have had since Boston in 2022. Should be an exciting series! Should they beat the Canes, I might very well be rooting for them to make it out of the East!

To me, Shayne Gostisbehere is a huge X-factor in this series. Ottawa Senators’ penalty kill ranks as the third worst in the NHL, and if he starts ripping rockets on the power play, you have to be concerned about both his shot and his playmaking ability. #CarolinaCulture

@eternalposting I don't think the Sens are an underdogs. I know they are an 8 seed whatever but these teams are damn near identical on paper. I don't know that either team has a true advantage if I am being honest.
