I love this so much. Let me tell you what is really happening. Louis Lucas in Portsmouth wants data centers to be taxed. Heavily. Northern Virginia Dems don’t. So here’s what happens. Louise gets the governor to kill the casino bill In Fairfax County. The tax revenue from the casino was already being spent in Fairfax proposed budgets. Lucas killed it. Fairfax is facing a $131 million budget deficit next year - mostly because they have unionized their government work force Louise took the money away. In a reverse suplex Hulk Hogan smack down. Guess who’s about to be taxed. The data centers. It’s the only pot of money left. A deal will be struck to revenue share tax money with localities. The rest goes to projects Louise wants. This is how the sausage is made.
