I thought it was likely the program was underfunded to try to prop up football with the new stadium, but I’m not sure it’s possible that can explain losing 8 guys to the portal, half of whom were going to play actual minutes. Maybe it does. But I’m not sure it does all the way.

One of Chris Collins's best qualities was roster retention. The only major contributor we ever lost to the portal was Pete Nance. And it's not like this roster was stacked with talent. But this is a drastic shift from what us fans are used to. Makes me nervous for the future.
