I added an automation to grayscale my phone at night so I won’t doom scroll and it’s changing my life

ONBOARDINGGGGGG and CHURN update for my struggling business (-$1K MRR last 30 days 📉📉) last week i added a simple onboarding (didnt have any) to @postbridge_ in an effort to reduce churn. this week i realized its 60% shit. thanks @marclou for outlining in his recent newsletter that i need to 100% focus on bringing new users to the AHA moment. the old onboarding i just added last week did the opposite. the second a user got in they were shown 3 questions that dont even really matter... and a posting goal that also does not do anything *yet* - instant friction away from our AHA moment not only this, but i noticed a steep decline in how many people would signup for account then not start a trial (no pay = no access) so over 50% of people who created an account ended up doing nothing, right after meeting the friction of 3 questions. i did however add a simple checklist last week as you can see in the quoted tweet, where users are encouraged to reach the AHA moment - the aha moment being: connecting multiple accounts and posting to them at ONCE from ONE place (post-bridge) yesterday i removed the 3 questions users first see when signing up and made a FULL SCREEN onboarding which asks ONE questions that's skippable about what type of user they are (helpful later on) and then also asks them to connect up to 5 social accounts. pictures attached to this post are the new onboarding... final step is pick a plan! so users cannot get into the app without signing up, no sneaking around, no where to get lost, straight up flow to see how serious the user is about using a tool like post bridge. i also tookout the posting goal from the checklist, so the moment they signup for a trial they will see the checklist items to get them to the AHA moment: 1) connect accounts (50% do this in onboarding) and 2) CREATE A POST to multiple accounts. no distractions in onboarding and afterwards they can explore and see what to do next in a simple way (checklist). this flow feels SO much better and i think will help not only initial conversion to trail starts but also the activation of users in the first week too! (which is great for long term churn!) took me all day yesterday to do this, redirect logic in a non verified redirect URI was a- okay i know you dont care lol, thanks claude code for carrying me. i also recently hired help from 2 devs under contract to finish up the postbridge API so its ready for public release and then dogfood it into postbridge to rapidly increase overall platform stability and performance (API hosted on own infra with better concurrency) so soon speed and stability of post bridge will also be improved quite a bit, which is destined to also help reduce churn. CHURN IS STILL SITTING HIGH AT 22%, it hasnt moved much, but that wont stop me from keeping going. SEO is kicking in nicely too, 7k clicks in last 30 days, over 50% of which are NON BRANDED search :))) (shoutout to @medhansh, he is nuts) keep going legends, thanks for reading my struggles and hope this helps someone!

i think this is actually a good approach
