The DSA, Zohran Mamdani’s party and the people that launched him to Gracie Mansion, are proposing that the mayor formally forbid active IDF soldiers from entering New York City, lest they be arrested. Meaning, I’d be barred from visiting my family and my friends in a place that means a great deal to me. Of course, this initiative can’t happen, at least not now, because we’d need a lot more insane people in government to see it through, but the agenda of these hateful pieces of shit shouldn’t be underestimated.

@JAllen_NYC Fair, but I wouldn't let social media people that get inflamed be the pure rep of the supporter base. You get more of the diehard fanatics than the pragmatic supporters in this space. For ex I think his picks for staff so far have been good, but I get the deB 2.0 skepticism

@Vvuvellu @JAllen_NYC The 'transplants' voted well and don't have that brainwashing of automatically preferring Cuomo, but I'm still going to be critical of the damage they're doing. Meanwhile the more progressive areas that are low income/diverse I can only see resentment from the conservatives

@Vvuvellu @JAllen_NYC I'm native and while many of those around me are happy that Mamdani won, we kinda always had that weird reaction towards specifically the gentrified portion of 'commie corridor' neighborhoods and are empathetic to the ones being forced out.
