@PUPPYC00 the school shooter oc is an obscene caricature. the artist has no right to be upset that their character isn’t being taken seriously! they made the sandwich!

@PUPPYC00 i think that it’s perfectly acceptable to “shit on” a person’s art style when their aesthetic sensibilities work to diminish the severity of the subject matter at hand.

I don't want to shit on anyone's artstyle but why does the first one look like a high resolution nasty Krabby patty from SpongeBob?

@JaysDeathroute @takoyaki_third “there are no rules in art other than to have fun” is a subjective interpretation. also, when you put your art out into the world you kind of have to be prepared to explain/justify your formal and conceptual decisions.

@sofyocs if you look into school shooters (esp. those who were supposedly “inspired” by columbine), you’ll find common patterns. dysfunctional family structures, mental health struggles, avoidant behavior, ideological grooming, etc. it doesn’t start with games like fucking DOOM

@sofyocs idk. i feel like you could write a compelling character who commits an act of school violence if you really cared/tried, but the ones presented here are shallow, obnoxious and uninspired. tonally inappropriate, really.

@winwashwilly @AleppoAteMyFace i’ll give you a good faith answer: house fires are more common in the winter months (so, november - march in the midwest). heating equipment (space heaters, furnaces, etc.) can malfunction. smoke alarms can only do so much.

@raperatted i find it very hard to believe that the artist is completely removed from the TCC lol. there’s nothing interesting being done here. it’s all indicative of a very shallow understanding of school violence/perpetrators of school violence wrapped up in an offensively ugly style.

@lynquynparque @hoffmanupdates my read: challengers is a film that ends with all three of the three romantic leads in a fulfilling place. i don’t think that this movie will end that way. as this reviewer said, it’s more like y tu mamá también.
