The #userpayprinciple is also a much fairer system, because only those who choose to enjoy the benefits of the toll road pay for it, while those who do not, make no contribution. Registered public transport, including busses and taxis, is exempted. #RethinkEtolls #etolls

@sindivanzyl @CoruscaKhaya It’s only about R280 a month anyway if you have a tag. They’re never going to catch up on improving the freeway system in Gauteng now that so many people haven’t paid. I like the tag for travelling around the country too. Can go through e-tag lanes instead of long queues

@sindivanzyl With e-tolls, I don't want to be sitting with a huge bill. I have seen people who owe tens of thousands of Rands. And since I run my own business, I can't afford any such drama. I'd rather pay a few hundred Rands each month. Mark my words, it won't just be scrapped. Somewhere...

Last week I was chatting to someone about paying e-tolls (and thinking about everything else I pay for such as the TV licence and traffic fines) This person put it nicely in one sentence "I never want to find myself having to interact with the cops or the law"

@sindivanzyl We applaud you Sindi for being the definition of a good citizen & encourage you to continue paying.  You'll be one of the citizens who can proudly say they were part of contributing to the success of a world class system in Gauteng. The 1st of its kind in Africa. #RethinkEtolls

@etollFacts @coenie_vermaak Pray tell how this would work? I’m genuinely curious. Let’s say I start paying the money, how does this make the traffic subside? Forget won’t work; this cannot work!!
