More fantastic #researchresults: regenerated cellulose fibers with flame retardancy properties are manufactured by functionalizing regenerated wood pulp fibers with a natural derived phosphorus compound, namely phytic acid ammonium. Read more here: doi.org/10.1002/app.54…

An important milestone of the project was the final event co-located in the Cellulose Fibres Conference 2023 on March 8 and 9. During the event 4 posters related to the GRETE project were displayed, summarising the incredible work of the consortium partners.

GRETE brought its own session to the Cellulose Fibers Conference 2023 program, holding in total 5 presentations for the conference participants. The project managed to leave its mark and offer a final event of great impact.

GRETE booth was set up to explain in a visual way the path taken to reach the final result: a high quality cellulosic fibre with improved dye absorption and fire retardancy. The progress was promising and the consortium is more than satisfied with the results achieved.

Last week GRETE samples were showcased at the Milan Design Week 2023. The Vivarium exhibition was focused on the educational power of bio-based materials and a Panel Talk, organised by Materially, was a great opportunity for dissemination of the project's final results.
