Με ιδιαίτερη χαρά συμμετείχα σήμερα μαζί με τον @MargSchinas σε κοινή συνεδρία, με τη Διαρκή Επιτροπή Ευρωπαϊκών Υποθέσεων, τη Διαρκή Επιτροπή Παραγωγής και Εμπορίου και την Ειδική Μόνιμη Επιτροπή Προστασίας Περιβάλλοντος της Βουλής των 🇬🇷, για το μέλλον της 🇪🇺 αλιείας και των θαλασσών μας. Ιδιαιτέρα χρήσιμες και εποικοδομητικές οι απόψεις των Βουλευτών. Η αξιολόγηση της Κοινής Αλιευτικής Πολιτικής (ΚΑλΠ) δείχνει σημαντική πρόοδο, αλλά και προκλήσεις που παραμένουν: γηρασμένος αλιευτικός στόλος, αυξημένο λειτουργικό κόστος, ανάγκη απλοποίησης διαδικασιών, πιέσεις από την κλιματική αλλαγή. Τα αποτελέσματα της αξιολόγησης θα στηρίξουν τις αποφάσεις μας για το μέλλον της ΚΑλΠ. Ευχαριστώ την Ελλάδα για τη στενή συνεργασία μας στην οικοδόμηση ενός μέλλοντος όπου οι αλιείς, τα θαλάσσια οικοσυστήματα και οι τοπικές οικονομίες θα ευημερούν μαζί. 🇪🇺🇬🇷 🐟

At the #AquacultureCongress2026 in 🇬🇷 Athens, I underlined that sustainable aquaculture is not just a sectoral priority 👉 it is a strategic pillar for Europe’s food security, climate resilience, and blue growth. Europe’s #CFP and Strategic Guidelines for Aquaculture are creating momentum, but we must go further: accelerate innovation, simplify rules, and secure the space and investment needed for the sector to grow and compete 🌎. 🇪🇺 Europe needs resilient food systems, strong coastal communities, and greater strategic autonomy. 🐟Aquaculture must be part of the solution and part of Europe’s future.
