When we started doing vagus nerve stimulation, we vowed to publish our null results as diligently as the shiny effects.
In our new preprint, we show that acute tVNS does not robustly alter liking or wanting ratings of food in healthy people. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Using computational modeling we can derive reward sensitivity and other learning values as parameter estimate for every run.

New preprint: Despite the interest in vagus nerve stimulation as a treatment for depression, research on acute mood effects is scarce. We show that taVNS improves mood recovery after a challenge, but does not alter mood during active stimulation. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
