I've been reflecting this past month on all of the incredible people I have met on this journey so far. Words escape me when I try to express how life changing it's all been.
Thank you, Overwatch 🧡 let's keep smiling together

I was able to finally watch the movie “Togo” (2019), which I’d been wanting to see for a long time after finding it on a streaming service. In the freezing Alaskan town of Nome, a diphtheria outbreak breaks out. With a blizzard approaching, planes can’t be used to transport the serum. To save the critically ill children, musher Leonard (Willem Dafoe) sets out on a brutal, life-or-death journey—nearly 1,000 kilometers round trip—by dog sled, led by his aging dog Togo (12 years old), to retrieve the serum. The film is based on the real 1925 serum run to Nome. It was wonderful. I cried so many times. Dafoe is incredible, and so is the dog who plays Togo (a Siberian Husky?). Honestly, this was basically DEATH STRANDING. It even made me want to be connected to a dog by the harness. Highly recommended 🐕
2025 was really super busy year.
The first half was busy with the production of DS2, finish building the game, editing trailers, and preparing everything leading up to the launch of the game. The second half took me around the world for a global tour and promotion, revisiting places I hadn’t been able to travel to for some time due to the pandemic. All told, I circled the globe the equivalent of six times. I was finally able to attend several film festivals I’d long been invited to, and had the chance to meet so many people and fans, along the way. In parallel, continued to work on OD, prepared and planned PHYSINT, including the casting. POP-UP SHOPS were held at PARCO locations across Japan and in cities around the world. TBS Radio’s “KOJI10” returned for its Season 2. I also worked on two ongoing essay series, and wrote commentary and liner notes for films, novels, and manga (sadly, I had to step away from “Hidemys (Hideo’s Mysteries),” which I’d continued for four years). In spring, held an installation at PRADA Aoyama. In September, I was able to host the “10th Anniversary Event,” looking back on the past decade while thinking about the next ten years of the studio. Although I still haven’t attended one in person, the DEATH STRANDING Strands of Harmony orchestra tour has also been traveling the world. I was fortunate to be featured in several domestic and international high-fashion magazines as well. Shinchosha published my book, “The Gifted Gene and My 70% Movie Body.”
I was so busy that much of it is honestly a blur—but it was an incredibly fulfilling year.
Thank you all so much for your continued support.
Wishing everyone a wonderful new year. 🙏🫶
I really want a solid group of girlfriends. Where we do brunch, karaoke, nails, sleepovers and stuff. All my friends got married and moved out of town. 😢 is it too late for me?
