probably my most boring trait is how immersive bureaucracy is for me in fiction... i love when it's a real part of the story, like the temps commission in umbrella academy ("time-travel bureaucracy" is, incidentally, my favorite fiction trope)

people really forget how Bureaucratic Evangelion feels. you see the exact chains of decisions made in any given situation and the exact way responses to those decisions are handled, in board rooms, control rooms, etc by specific people. it’s an Anno specialty and very nice to see

something ive observed is that a lot of trans women seem to have a very condescending attitude toward girls who go through insurance for HRT rather than just doing DIY, which is very interesting as things cost money and are trans women not a notoriously poor demographic?
