(6) Unique longitudinal cohorts from infancy to adulthood, (7) U.K. still firmly part of the academic community (despite Brexit), most of all, great to see so many friends and that people have become friends on the way !

(As Pierre Violland noted) not a single poster on “social deficits”, (4) consultation and collaboration with autistic people becoming the new normal (especially for young researchers), (5) more and more openly autistic researchers,

This was my favourite AIMS-2-TRIALS AGM! What a long way we’ve come! Who would have thought that …(1) mean group comparisons become a mere analytic starting point, (2) novel ways capture individual profiles, (3) sensory, mental health, burn out dominate the agenda

@milton_damian In this case I believe several programme committee members may have been supportive of the topic but it may not have fitted well into existing review criteria…Results were, for example, a new network with a different governance structure rather than p-value.

@eva_loth We also submitted a similar panel and it was not accepted. Maybe there is opportunity for a mini SIG - off the INSAR record that is…

@GligaTeea Thank you, Teea. Someone kindly did for me and I got an immediate response. Reviewers found it hard to judge, perhaps because it didn’t fit neatly into traditional review criteria . “Results” were a new network and a different governance structure…we will try again !

I cared about the most . Yes, it’s not always been smooth , but what stands out to me is growing respect, friendship, trust and new directions. And I’d have loved other colleagues to hear about this.

Delighted about the opportunity to speak with @Autistic_Doc at the Coram/ IAC virtual conference on neurodiversity in adopted and looked after children; which brings together the two areas that have been most important to me professionally and personally.
