This week, Anthropic delivered a master class in arrogance and betrayal as well as a textbook case of how not to do business with the United States Government or the Pentagon.
Our position has never wavered and will never waver: the Department of War must have full, unrestricted access to Anthropic’s models for every LAWFUL purpose in defense of the Republic.
Instead, @AnthropicAI and its CEO @DarioAmodei, have chosen duplicity. Cloaked in the sanctimonious rhetoric of “effective altruism,” they have attempted to strong-arm the United States military into submission - a cowardly act of corporate virtue-signaling that places Silicon Valley ideology above American lives.
The Terms of Service of Anthropic’s defective altruism will never outweigh the safety, the readiness, or the lives of American troops on the battlefield.
Their true objective is unmistakable: to seize veto power over the operational decisions of the United States military. That is unacceptable.
As President Trump stated on Truth Social, the Commander-in-Chief and the American people alone will determine the destiny of our armed forces, not unelected tech executives.
Anthropic’s stance is fundamentally incompatible with American principles. Their relationship with the United States Armed Forces and the Federal Government has therefore been permanently altered.
In conjunction with the President's directive for the Federal Government to cease all use of Anthropic's technology, I am directing the Department of War to designate Anthropic a Supply-Chain Risk to National Security. Effective immediately, no contractor, supplier, or partner that does business with the United States military may conduct any commercial activity with Anthropic. Anthropic will continue to provide the Department of War its services for a period of no more than six months to allow for a seamless transition to a better and more patriotic service.
America’s warfighters will never be held hostage by the ideological whims of Big Tech. This decision is final.
@eudaemonea@SecWar I want the US Government making decisions about the US Military. Corporations deciding government policy is the reason why we have such a dysfunctional government to begin with.
@eudaemonea@patriotwardog@SecWar Yes it does, it would currently be viewed as a 4th amendment violation. Warrantless searches and surveillance are already covered and don't need to specify that can't be done with AI.
Asking an AI if it can violate the constitution and taking the answer seriously is retarded
@evaluationcopy@0nyXiftw@MrBeast Yeah, for sure. That's because non of them are smart enough to have completely it already. The additional hints that are being added is to make the challenge easier to solve, though it is possible to have completely it already. Your dm isn't open.
Fun fact, after our Salesforce SuperBowl commercial aired yesterday, so many millions of people signed up simultaneously to attempt the $1,000,000 puzzle that email providers literally stopped sending out verification emails because the traffic was so high.
Fixed now but dang 😭
@PascalBetie@0nyXiftw@MrBeast Hah, I'd be down, but I don't think anyone has solved the whole thing yet. I've been watching the challenge unfold over the last several days and it seems to have more layers..
I confess I'm the worst investor ever. I've invested in stocks, lost everything. I've invested in Crypto, lost everything. Then took loan and invested in both, lost it all over again. Fuck it all.
@coinfessions I'm guessing you lost it all the same way you made it all. That money will go into someone else's confession on how they made an lost money, and on and on.
I made $42,000 in December which was an ATH for me and now I’m on zero with no real idea how I lost it all. Now I’m fighting a battle on whether I should even keep going.
@coinfessions Whatever you're doing to get that high again isn't working. Do something different. It sounds like you got lucky when you were 12, but the things that worked before don't always work again.
Made my first $1K when I was 12. Couldn't believe it. Gave out loans and gambled a bit of it, still haven't been able to reach that high again. It really breaks my heart as now I'm 18 with barely $10 to my name.
@coinfessions Either he sold or he leveraged. If the former, next time NEVER sell at a loss. If it one of the top 100 coins. It will always regain and exceed its previous value.
I started leverage trading on Bitget when I was 13. I deposited €500. Back then, SOL was at $20. Now I'm 15. Have I made any money? No. Do I go to school? Every day. Damn. Fuck!
@coinfessions Asset classes tend to have a good year or two, then some down or flat years. If you chase what already went up then you may be buying I to the down or flat years. If you at least just step in slowly you can spread that out and be fine.
I am 20 with 150k USD saved up in cash, I still feel poor even though I am ahead of my peers. I usually feel bad with small purchases as well like $50 dinners. I wanna go buy some assets like a watch and some silver, is this a good move?
@georgi91757@da4004ad@tomwarren I haven't seen devs shift between them yet, but the Claude Code devs at my company fight the hardest to stay on Claude Code and don't want to even try Codex or copilot.
@da4004ad@tomwarren You wish, most of Codex users are turning back to Claude(have statistics, check them). Using a platform like Super Bowl, it's smart move to adopt attention!
Anthropic just took a big swipe at OpenAI's decision to put ads in ChatGPT. Anthropic is airing ads mocking ChatGPT ads during the Super Bowl, and they're hilarious 😅 Anthropic is also committing to no ads in Claude theverge.com/ai-artificial-…
@da4004ad@tomwarren Anthropic has a chance. I've got devs fighting for Claude Code that refuse to use Copilot and they don't even ask for Codex. I have other devs using Codex. We'll probably roll out Copilot as an easy default for devs since it comes with PR reviews. I see a mixture out there.
@tomwarren Will even 1% of Super Bowl viewers know what Claude is? And those who do will be developers. But all the developers are busy using Codex. "Winning was never in the set of possible outcomes for Anthropic". They will disappear and be forgotten, just like Perplexity.
@MenEatWomen@DeuceBigalow234@shahh I'm entertained by the argument, but it doesn't matter how many other cryptos exist. People that are into Pokemon cards don't throw them in the garbage because basketball cards exist.
@DeuceBigalow234@shahh 21M is True, but bitcoin isn’t the only game in town, thus in the bigger picture crypto is infinite! A 10-year-old can create Crypto out nothing in his bedroom. Bitcoin’s only value is if you “believe” in it.
True, BUT bitcoin isn’t the only game in town. Crypto competition is never ending and that’s the very problem for crypto. Crypto is created by anyone anytime thus it’s not “fixed” in the bigger picture. Everything competes, crypto, metals, stocks, bonds etc. The difference is very clear, a 10-year-old can create tradable crypto while playing a video game. The same 10-year-old can’t create metal, oil, stocks, bonds or even a fiat currency.
