David Pollack. Lorenzo Carter. Jarvis Jones. These are just 3 examples of absolute legends in Georgia High School Fooball History who entertained fans across the great state of Georgia for years and years with their pass rushing ability in high school, college, and the NFL. 🍿 Yet when Collins Hill 2026 DL Deuce Geralds recieves his high school diploma and walks across the stage at his soon-to- be alma mater in Suwanee, Georgia — he has, to his name, a distinct honor that even the legends of the state that have come before him ought to honor, recognize, and celebrate!! In the 3rd quarter of Collins Hill’s Week 9 matchup against Dacula, he did it. Deuce Geralds, Collins Hills’ 4 year starter, face of the defense, and face of Georgia high school ball at large, brought down a quarterback for the 51st time in his career - shattering the state record and becoming the all-time sack leader in GHSA history. 🏆 I had the distinct privilege and honor of working with Deuce to put this piece out to the football world. 🌎 I asked Geralds what it means to him to now hold the all-time record!! “It is truly a blessing to reach this milestone. All I can do is thank God, my parents, and my coaches for putting me in the right position to get me to this point. This is a true testament that hard work pays off.” ✝️ Given that Deuce is a public figure across the state of Georgia in high school ball, I had the need to ask him what are some of the main life principles he has learned during his senior season at Collins Hill.  He replied saying: “I have learned the importance of leadership. I have learned to pick up my teammates, and never to tear that down no matter the circumstance. Ever.” ⚔️ Lastly, you know we had to give LSU Tiger Faithful what they came to read!! 🐯 I checked in with Deuce on what his words are for the LSU fanbase. About how he wants Baton Rouge and beyond to know about him as an athlete, but also as a PERSON. Gerarlds had this to say: “To the LSU fan base, know that I am coming not only to sack quarterbacks, but I’m also going to be coming to Tiger Stadium to bring championships to us. I love the city of Baton Rouge - it is my hometown! I am ready to do everything possible to make sure LSU is back on the elite level winning track that the program is known for.” 🟣🟡🟣🟡 Deuce - It is the opportunity of a sports media guy’s entire season to put out this piece with you. Thank you so much, man. I’m beyond honored, and humbled. Lastly - I’d like to thank two coaches. Thanks to Coach Swick for unwavering support over the past year, and thank you to Coach Downs for getting me “boots on the ground” out in Suwannee at Collins Hill 12 months ago so that a piece like this may be shared with the world someday. All glory to GOD. 🕊️
