CO Mines’ Evan Bilter made a significant contribution to the Mat-Su Miners’ valiant comeback attempt against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots last night (6/17/25). After hitting a scorcher off the short stop for a single in the 7th inning, Bilter stepped to the plate in the top of the 9th with the Miners down 3 and 2 runners on base. Bilter hit a shot to the gap in left center field and showed off his speed as he slid into 3rd with a bases clearing triple. As an added bonus, the talented and professional voice of the Regis and CCU broadcaster, Dylan VanderVeen, was on the call!! #RMAC #RMACbsb #HelluvaEngineer

CO Mines got a comfy lead late to beat CO Christian 7-3 this afternoon. Leading 4-1 going into the top of the 8th, Tyler Pina hit a solo home run over the right field wall. Then, with bases loaded in the top of the 9th, Evan Bilter delivered with a big 2 RBI single to right field. ⚾️ Evan Bilter was simply great at the plate, as he went 3 for 5, with 4 RBIs, 1 Run, & a Double. ⚾️ Starting pitcher Alex Honeyman also had a great day. Honeyman had a quality start as he pitching 6 strong innings, during which he scattered 5 hits, allowed only 1 run, issued just 1 walk, and struck out 6!! CO Mines picked up the 13-4 win over UCCS in the 2nd game of yesterday’s doubleheader behind a strong outing from Ben Shoneman and great hitting by Trent Nielsen. ⚾️ Ben Shoneman picked up the win, pitching 6 innings, allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits, issuing only 1 walk, and striking out 5. ⚾️ Trent Nielsen was a perfect 3 for 3 with 4 RBIs, 3 Runs, & a HR. ⚾️ Evan Bilter also had a great day at the plate, going 3 for 4 with an RBI, 3 Runs, & a 2B.
