I was a young columnist working for the Orlando Sentinel when I first met Lee Corso. I was doing a piece on him for the paper. As soon as he knew I was from Orlando, he showed me a tremendous amount of love and gave me a great interview. I’ll never forget he also gave me an incredible food suggestion — Olde Dixie Fried Chicken. He told me it was the best fried chicken in Orlando. He did not lie. It was. I never forgot his kindness. It’s not easy to stay on television and remain relevant as long as he has. Kudos to him for making the leap from broadcaster to institution. Wishing him the best.

I really hope a lot of men watch this Surviving Ohio State documentary. The stories from these athletes are heartbreaking and devastating. But it is instructive for men who fail to understand the nature of sexual assault or even the abuse they’ve personally suffered— the fear, the shame, etc. There are women who certainly can learn from this as well, but it’s more vital for men to get a better grasp. That Jim Jordan is an elected official is inexcusable.
