very amused by a portrait of religious debate between christians, muslims, and buddhists in the mongol empire in the year 1254:

for if you can love even simple matter, think of how great it is to love something as skillfully made as the human person

love is ultimately a very well-practiced habit by practicing loving all things, from the smallest and simplest to the most intricate and complex, all experiences become fuller and more gratifying. our love for all things compounds

the beauty of prayer is there's genuinely no "catch" — the virtues consolidate together, and grow alongside faith

i think the greatest lesson i've learned from prayer is a loving disposition goes hand in hand with clarity of thought

we have tried many ways to encourage tolerance and inclusion in the modern world but have we tried *squints* mongolian rules of sportsmanship and *squints* fermented mare's milk
