There are so many people I’d love to interview. Just want to ensure that folks are compensated accordingly for their work, because I do not want to lowball black folks, so it’ll take some time but we will get there 🗣️

Anyway, thank you all for supporting me 🫶🏾 come 2023 though, I will be more active about my podcast on IG/The Clock App and YouTube. I can clearly not rely on Twitter, even a bit. Click on my still existent (for now) linktree in my bio to follow me elsewhere 😊

Sorry but I had to vent. But Twitter is the place I feel most comfortable sharing my thoughts and sharing my work. Not because of the app per se, but because of you all. And having to start over on another app b/c of some bozo billionaire is just frustrating. That’s all!

These new Twitter regulations are really frustrating. I use linktree to show y’all where you can listen to my podcast and where to follow me on other platforms. Now that option of linktree will no longer be available .. wow.

im tired of this world that’s so mean to darkskin girls. making us afraid to be creative, different, im tired of it. after diminishing us for so long, from saying we can’t wear bright colors, bright hair, red lipstick etc… we deserve the grace and freedom to experiment.

If you want to learn more about this topic, please listen to my most recent episode with my good friend Joyce, who outlined the dangers of gentrification and displacement and their connections to antiblackness and immigration. open.spotify.com/episode/7deZsg…

The best thing we can do as community members is get to know our neighbours, get to know our neighbourhood and help folks in ways we can. Give families supplies for the winter, give folks money, send folks food or help them with groceries. These are tangible ways to help.

Gentrification is not only about the removal of peoples homes. It is also about the cultural and communal displacement people endure when they are removed from their homes. This is a conversation that holds many layers and I’m so glad I was able to have it on my podcast.
