What a wonderful time the school choir have had performing at the Senedd today. We were even lucky enough to have a tour! Diolch yn fawr @SeneddWales

Diolch yn fawr to Mrs Bright from @gwentmusic for leading our woodwind assembly this week. Our clarinet and flute players have worked hard to learn some festive tunes 🎶 We had some guest musicians too!

Reception had a brilliant time visiting @WillowsUsk it was really magical 🎅🏼🦌❄️ Diolch to the wonderful staff there who made it so special for the children.

Year 2 enjoyed thinking about the volunteers we have in our school to celebrate #InternationalVolunteerDay2024. We wanted to say a big diolch to 'The Friends of Eveswell' for organising lovely events during the school year.

Well-being club enjoyed a cwtch up with their chosen teddy before practising their breathing techniques with a cup of hot chocolate.

Blwyddyn Pedwar had a great day exploring Cardiff Bay today as part of our new topic on the docks #ethicalinformedcitizens

Blwyddyn Tri enjoyed searching the school for Fairtrade products today. They were thrilled to visit the Staff Room! #Fairtrade

Many thanks to Helen Gordon for delivering a special assembly this morning marking 'White Ribbon Day'. The children discussed how kindness makes them feel 'like I can achieve anything' as well as making links to our anti-bullying policy and anti-racist pledges.

A great day kickstarted with a delicious staff breakfast. A really thought provoking INSET day followed, developing anti-racist practices at Eveswell & Somerton and ended by a meeting of the staff well-being group.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Many thanks to our wonderful friends of Eveswell and fantastic caretaker for bringing so much sparkle to our school this afternoon!

After choosing how we want to create our bee , we then learnt all about the parts of a bee and what they do! Da iawn blwyddyn 2! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Blwyddyn 6 have enjoyed a live lesson with Technocamps. We have learnt how to code our micro:bits to track Santa.

Blwyddyn Pedwar really enjoyed their nightlight project and created some fantastic designs ! Da iawn bawb! ⭐️

Year 5 have been making paper prototypes for their magnet games and revising their initial designs.

Diolch to our teachers who shared their findings yesterday from recent ICT Professional Development. Great to see this already in practise in school today!

Da iawn to our superb ‘Your Voice’ pupil group who completed a learning walk to ensure all classrooms were facilitating independence in their learning environments. They provided checklists to teachers and emailed their feedback! What a team!

Members of the year 6 Eco Committee had a great time at the Youth COP Conference in Cardiff this week. It was great to hear from the Deputy First Minister and members of the Wampís Nation talk about climate change. We also had a great time in the park on our way home!
