Obvious error, 1st Para: "increase the minimum wage in a bid to reduce the cost of living" Increasing minimum wage *by definition* does not reduce the cost of living - it simply allows those affected to *meet* the cost of living - the cost itself is unchanged. I do think it's the right move to increase minimum wage, but let's not pretend that juicing demand will reduce cost.
