Some blatant BS on Tunde Onakoya's post and why it should be criticized rather than celebrated. First BS: The Louvre is one of the most visited places on Earth; thousands of people from everywhere pass through daily, including Nigerians and other Africans who live in or visit Paris. Plenty have probably sat down with a chessboard or phone app there without filming it. So you are most likely not the first. Second BS: This is not climbing Everest, curing a disease, or even winning a real tournament. It's content creation with a cinematic filter, motivational voiceover, and agbada for aesthetics. There is nothing special about it. Third BS: You are belittling the whole country because it implies that basic visibility abroad (with a camera crew) is some rare triumph for the culture, rather than just normal life for mobile people in 2025/2026. Nigerians (and Black people broadly) achieve far more concrete things daily without the hype reel. Now you make it seem like playing chess in an open museum is groundbreaking achievement in Nigeria. While this doesn't take anything away from what you have achieved, especially for the poor kids who live in Nigeria, it displays self aggrandization and foolish puffery. It's an embarrassment to the whole country.

what pains me most about democracy in Nigeria is that my vote counts one, same with every terrorist and their deranged sympathizers. Democracy is a scam. Imagine daft people casting votes on who should run the country.

A very weird way to ask for help in less than 24 hours after boasting 😂😂 We don't want Champions league please, it's not like we're even qualifying to win it next season 😂😂

Mr Bayo@mrbayoa1

Chelsea, your club needs to play Champions League football next season. Arsenal have already secured a pathway for Premier League teams to get the 5th spot. The whole of English football wants to see Chelsea in the Champions League next season, the floor is yours tomorrow 💪💪.

Bro almost leaked the ice wall ⁉ The (alleged) first ever irl live streamer out of Antarctica gets his equipment seized by authorities barely an hour in to his stream. Is there a reason he wasn't allowed to have a satellite internet connection in certain areas down there?

If someone explains Nigeria to you and you understood it, then... We are docile people, nothing changes except we wake up.

Kanye’s UK ban Exposes Yet Another Western Double Standard Kanye West’s treatment has exposed the double standard in how outrage works. When harm is directed at Africans and Black people, the world often looks away. But when certain other groups like the Jewish establishment are involved, western institutions, sponsors, and governments move quickly. This is why Africans must pay close attention to whose pain is taken seriously, whose history is centred, and why our moral clarity cannot be borrowed from the West. We must learn to read these moments properly. The issue is not whether Kanye should be beyond criticism. It is the fact that the global response is never equal, and that imbalance tells you everything about whose lives, suffering, and dignity the world has been taught to value most.
