Yes - the Green Bin lock has an emergency release mechanism. The metal release is located in the gravity lock located on the LID of the Green Bin. This is the TOP portion of the lock. THE GREEN BINS ARE COMING! If your Green Bin arrives and the lid is slightly warped or the gravity lock isn't engaging, it's best to keep the lid closed and allow it to settle into place naturally.
