5 DAYS TO INAUGURAL LAUNCH OF FAMA (GHANA’s FIRST AI-POWERED FARMING ROBOT) 🤖 On April 4th, we are demonstrating FAMA live, with government, industry, academia, and some of Ghana’s largest food producers in attendance. This is not a product showcase. It is the beginning of something much larger. For decades, the conversation around feeding a growing population has circled the same constraints. Not enough land. Not enough labour. Not enough scale. The tools available to farmers have not kept pace with the urgency of the problem. That changes now. What we are demonstrating on April 4th is proof that autonomous crop production is no longer theoretical. It is operational, it is precise, and it is ready. And we believe that when the right people witness it firsthand, the conversation in this country around agricultural technology will never be the same. We are grateful for every stakeholder who has chosen to be part of this moment. The work ahead requires all of us — policy, capital, research, and production — moving in the same direction. The revolution in global agriculture is not coming. It is already here. For more information and to receive an invitation to attend, call 024 972 2815. We will see you on the field. 3farmate.com #agtech #robotics #ghana #agriculture #precisionfarming #artificialintelligence #foodsecurity

Hello, Ghana 🇬🇭 Your Excellency, @JDMahama Hello Africa and the world. We @3farmatebots are proud to announce the official launch of FAMA—Ghana's FIRST AI-powered autonomous farming robot for large-scale crop production. Founded in 2021 by @oxncgen (CEO) and @koffi_cobbin (CTO), the company began in a dorm room at @KNUSTGH, where its first prototype was developed. Since then, the team has engineered FAMA into a full-scale autonomous robot capable of planting seeds, applying fertilizer, weeding, and spraying across real farm environments. FAMA navigates using a vision-based AI system instead of GPS, allowing it to operate reliably in areas where GPS is unavailable or inconsistent. The robot runs on batteries charged by solar panels while in the field and can operate across uneven terrain, loose and muddy soils, and variable weather conditions. A single operator can oversee multiple robots, each covering 27 to 35 acres per day with sub-85mm planting precision. 3Farmate targets large-scale staple crop producers in Ghana, starting with corn and soybeans. We operate a service model, charging farmers per acre and removing the need for upfront equipment investment. Over 70 farmers and several large-scale crop production companies are currently in discussions, with commercial deployments beginning in the 2026 planting season. Approximately $200,000 has been raised to date, including investment from @776foundation (Alexis Ohanian, Reddit co-founder) and a grant from @kicghana. Our team consists of young engineers specializing in robotics, embedded systems, software, and mechanical design. With 8 major iterations, 60+ field test runs, 100+ cumulative acres covered, and thousands of runtime hours in real farm conditions, FAMA is market-ready to become the ultimate farmer-assistant. We built FAMA right here in Ghana, inspired by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s belief that “Africa must industrialize to achieve true independence.” We built FAMA as a true testament to every young engineer in Africa that “IT IS POSSIBLE.” FAMA is designed to operate seamlessly on Ghanaian soil and is adaptable to diverse agricultural environments worldwide. Join us as we drive innovation across global agriculture. We call on the government of Ghana, stakeholders, international organizations, and agri-industry leaders to partner with us in transforming agriculture together. This is not history in the making, because history has already been made, and we thank you for being a part of our journey. On this note, we are officially launched! @cropinvestment @RevErskineGH 1. Instead asking for help from CSIR, pitch is as a collaboration or as a pilot project. You can ask for cost estimate for refining trials. Lab analysis of the black crude oil. You can also try student research collaboration. 2. Reach out to Impact Investing Ghana…

1. i used part of my stipend as a graduate student here in the U.S. to lay the foundation for a crop and livestock breeding and research center in Aboabo (ER, Ghana). this project reflects my vision to create sustainable agribusiness investments and employment opportunities for young people. 1a. i put together a trusted team of young professionals, including a lawyer, an accountant, an agriculturist, a project manager, and a personal assistant, to oversee this project. 2. i am currently experimenting with extracting high-quality organic oil and producing a clean, cosmetic-grade product from fruit waste. a hydraulic press machine has been custom-built in partnership with a local metal fabricator. 2a. we have conducted several trials, and so far, the critical barrier is that the process has only yielded juices and a black crude oil. i reached out to a research center in ghana for help refining the black oil, but I was told they only support funded projects — and now I am stuck. a REPOST to help me connect with experts in the following fields would be greatly appreciated: 1. food technology (oil extraction & refining) 2. chemical engineering (process optimization & extraction methods) 3. lipid chemistry / biochemistry (oil composition & purification) working with my team at 3farmate has shaped my agri-engineering acumen and empowered me to initiate personal projects that develop solutions benefiting both communities and industries. GOD BLESS MY HOMELAND, GHANA 🇬🇭

Meet the late Herman Cheney Hesse. Before "tech in Africa" was a buzzword, someone in Ghana was already building. From a bedroom to shaping an entire industry, Herman Chinery-Hesse showed what vision looks like. Real solutions. Real impact. A legacy that still runs till today 🫶🏽
