What's one of your favorite songs by The Who? 🎶
In May of 1969, the Who released the double rock opera album, Tommy, written by guitarist Pete Townshend. It tells the story of the fictional Tommy Walker, a "psychosomatically deaf, mute, and blind" boy who becomes a pinball champion and religious leader. On March 19, 1975, Tommy, the movie was released in the US & released in the Uk on March 25, 1975. The movie included a star-studded cast, including Ann-Margret, who received a Golden Globe Award for her performance. She was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Pete Townshend nominated for an Oscar for his work in scoring & adapting the music for the film. The film won the award for Rock Movie of the Year in the First Annual Rock Music Award in 1975.

@mikemoviez Tombstone — although Val Kilmer stole every scene he was in.

@alltooswift00 I agree. One of Taylor’s saddest songs about a relationship

@KJM_withaview @SRuhle I always record her show. Or if I wake up in the middle of the night and am awake around 2 o’clock, I can listen to the rebroadcast on my Echo Dot.
English

Yes, yes, yes!!!! @SRuhle moving to 9-11 a.m. ET!!!! Perfect for me. I stay up every weeknight to watch her show, but I've been hoping somehow she'd have an earlier time slot. Now in my office, I can have her on while I toil away. Yay!!!

This morning, @MSNOWNews announced a slate of programming changes across the lineup as we gear up for the midterms and the 2028 presidential election. We’ve started the year with viewership up double digits across every key daypart in total viewers and in the demo. These moves further strengthen our position. 🔽 hollywoodreporter.com/business/busin…

@TheMonologist I love this movie, and also the John Cheever short story that inspired it.

The initial box office & critical response was lacklustre but as with many misunderstood movies appreciation of this fine film has grown over time (Rotten Tomatoes has an approval rating of 100% by way of example).

@TerribleMaps As someone who lived in Pennsylvania for nearly all of her life, I can say you got us right!
English

@ThatEricAlper @katzMeow1111 It’s such an ensemble piece, so I am crowded into that elevator with the entire cast of “Chicago Fire.”
English

@grieve51166 @TheMonologist Actually, most of the “lifted” dialogue was drawn from the same original sources.
English

@TheMonologist And Cameron lifted a lot of dialogue from it.

@JackTomo7139 The way he ducks under those two players and just keeps going.

@willistortured1 Is the video of this tour available anywhere?
I think I would almost rather have seen this tour than the Eras tour. (I have seen neither.) Reputation is my favorite TS album.

It's quite astonishing how deeply, profoundly, robustly stupid he is.

He thinks Cuba is not in the hurricane “zone.” Honestly have never dealt with someone this ignorant in a job with even 1/100th the responsibility.

@mikemoviez Bridges - in the 80s-90s, he was regarded as a rival to DeNiro w his immersive transformative skills - an amazing run of great roles - Starman, Jagged Edge, Tucker, Fabulous Baker Boys, Fisher King, American Heart, Fearless - Big Lebowski was just the culmination
