As a Fractional CFO, I’ve helped 45+ SMBs clean up their finances. Most of them made this ONE obvious, but massive mistake… Here’s what it is and how to avoid it (with my ‘Orders of Operation’ framework):

Hotels mainly sell their rooms. Some higher end hotels have restaurants, bars, meeting room space, etc. But guests spend a significant time inside their rooms. Maybe there's an opportunity to sell besides premium TV channels or better wifi? Any ideas?

Codie's thread below made me think about my own business. Amazon's an e-commerce company that makes most of its money from cloud computing. Costco is a retailer that makes their money through memberships. I wonder if there's an opportunity here for hotels...

@uniquestaysguy I feel your pain as the pool and hot tub are a huge pain point for us too. Can't imagine how frustrating it must be to have multiple properties with pools...

@exhotelier0 I’ve had the most headaches with water features - hot tubs, pool, etc - but they also generate amazing ROI.

@sweatystartup Wow that's actually very impressive given the success you've had. I've always felt that my possessions had to keep up with my position/business just to "look the part" so to speak. Decided to change my mindset and spend on the things that actually bring me happiness.

I live in a house I bought in 2017 for $289k. Living in a house with a $1200 mortgage makes entrepreneurship less stressful.
