How this technology hasn't yet made its way into mainstream games? In some ways its WAY more accessible vr.

Many VFX companies have been integrating AI tools into their workflows for years, and the same goes for digital artists and photographers using Photoshop, it’s really nothing new. They view AI as a tool to assist the creative process, which is exactly what it should be. Unfortunately, the vocal minority of "purists" are the ones making all the noise, and social media algorithms only amplifies them, creating this whole hate wave.
English

@exolorian Yeah puritanism is a good way to go extinct quickly. And you're right, people are scared (can't blame them) so they'll probably rebel disproportionately.
I was on a course recently with some serious VFX professionals and I was amazed how willing they were to embrace AI.

Remember this every time new tech is launched.
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds," a famous quote by Albert Einstein.
When revolutionary, innovative ideas or tech surfaces, it frequently faces intense resistance from those with limited, conventional perspectives. They attack the idea, criticize the person, spread fear, or try to shut it down... Why? Not because the idea/tech is "slop", but because it makes them feel small, outdated, or threatened. It limits their own thinking and challenges their comfortable position, their authority, or the way things have always been done.

@Rahim_mahtab Did you know, AI is being used to pioneer life-saving cancer breakthroughs for our canine companions.

@3seguidas Unfortunately, it will only get worse. The majority of clients want results and fast... most don't care about the process. I am also in the same position, and that's probably the only thing I see at the moment as a big negative regarding AI.
English

@exolorian I work for a well know international advertising agency and now, creatives and clients are expecting AI mockups and animatics but then, when they aprove the project, they refuse to hire a real production team because the quality given is enough for the client.
Fucking terrible.
English

That’s actually another point I wanted to highlight, the tendency people have to put everyone in the same basket. Focusing on the art category specifically, I agree with you that using AI to generate an entire piece from scratch just doesn't feel right. As I’ve said many times, it should be a tool to assist the workflow rather than a 'do-it-all' solution. Unfortunately, most AI critics don't see that distinction, which is where the mess starts: they lump 100% GenAI users in with artists who are simply using AI to assist their existing process.
English

@exolorian I dont really like to make rotoscope and I think is so good to have an AI doing it for me, but generating the entire thing and put it into a timelime make me feel like im doing nothing and its not fun.
Take the pain out, not the fun.
English

@3seguidas That I 100% agree on. The problem is stopping the bullet train at this point where it shouldn't belong.
English

@exolorian The problem with AI is basically capitalism. Hate comes when the tech is meant to replace people, not processes, and when quality decreases to benefit economic interests.
There are fields that can and should be impacted by AI and there are fields where we need to keep AI away.
English

@exolorian Funny that you didn’t mention those examples before.
Keeping AI constrained to a few vital industries is cool and absolutely no one is complaining about that.
Using AI to create art is not cool and it’s not the same thing.
You don’t need to move the goal to make a point.
English

@3seguidas So advancements in the pharmaceutical industry due to AI are ZERO added value? Advancements in industrial energy optimizations due to AI are also ZERO added value? Ok, y'all keep putting everything in the same bag.
English

@exolorian No, it’s not the same cycle.
Photography, cars and digital were absolute wins for the industry and for the rest of society.
AI is not, it is just a pattern repetition machine designed to replace humans with ZERO added value.
Nobody is winning with it, only tech corps.
English

@sciencegirl We can't even study our own Oceans fully... 😂 yet study one that's more than 600 million km from here. Good luck.
English

@JohnnyBroYOO Pretty sure it will roll out sooner or later. If not them, Kling or others will eventually get to the same level with future updates.
English

@exolorian I'm just mad I never got to try it. They dangled it in my face like it was going to be released this month but no... Blocked
English

@JohnnyBroYOO Well, there needs to be a certain regulation with AI, or else it will become a chaotic jungle out there, but certainly a lot of gatekeeping is happening.
English

@exolorian I'm mad... They took my seedance I never got to try... They took my grok I wanted to use... And I feel so fucking back and fourth with everything. Like do I use it in the workflow or do I ignore it. These Hollywood lawsuits are keeping me from enjoying it to the fullest
English

That’s exactly the point I’m trying to make. A lot of people have a knee-jerk negative reaction the moment they hear the word 'AI.' For me, it’s all about the use case. For example, I still build my entire scene in 3D, render it, and retouch it in Photoshop. I’ve used AI to enhance or fix specific details, like characters or anatomy in my recent artworks. Yet, I still get lumped in with "AI purists" who generate everything from scratch, and ignoring the fact that 95% of the work was manualy done. (3D and 2D part). That’s the problem, people get triggered by the terminology and fail to see the distinction in the process.
English

@exolorian I'm not talking about automation though, I'm okay with automation. I'm talking about creation, that's the uncharted part.
I do woodwork as a hobby and I like to handcraft things. I don't see a CNC mill as an existential threat though because you still need to program it.
English

It's true that the endpoint is for human interaction to be a minimum, but it surely isn't uncharted waters. Automated machines have been replacing human technicians and engineers for years and years in the automotive industry, for example. You're seeing it more and more now with the pharmaceutical industry, where AI is being used for treatment research, etc... Every field is being delegated to machines, the difference is they accept it as a tool to accomplish the goal, now when it comes to arts, everything is tossed into the same bag, either it's AI purists or AI hybrids using it.
English

@exolorian There's never been a technology (ever) that generated the end-point with so little unskilled human interaction. This is uncharted water.
I don't mind AI as a tool (UV unwrap my mesh etc.) but delegating creation to something which can't think or feel is a human tragedy.
English

@3seguidas It is about the technology, every major leap sparked the exact same freakout, photography "killed" painting, cars doomed the horse (bankers called early auto pioneers insane), digital crushed analogue film purists... same cycle, same story.
English

@exolorian This is not about the technology, it’s about ethics. I don’t like to delegate fun parts of the work to a machine. I have more fun by doing it myself and the key point for me is that AI is being pushed to replace creatives, maximize benefits and decrease the quality overall.
English

@sainimatic Intense, sad, and dramatic.
Nicely done transmitting the message through art.
English

@exolorian Agreed Ser. Innovation always tastes like -violent opposition- at first. History repeats, but so does the triumph of great spirits. We’re not just building tech, we’re expanding perspectives. Stay focused on the vision. 🚀✨
