@Aaronpete_ I know indigenous who question the 215 graves story. Calling them racist or denialists is kinda funny tbh. I don't understand why activist organizations are the ones controlling the reconciliation narrative. Seems like there are better, more balanced people. Can you pls explain?

I have to confess this. Indigenous organizations at this point, are doing more harm to indigenous-Canada relations than almost any other organization. It’s Indigenous organizations calling people racist, denialists, white supremacist monsters. Not individual First Nations people. The only ones that do worse is provincial and federal governments. I can’t see how communications like this improve things between everyday First Nations people and everyday Canadians. This type of approach just makes things worse. How you could write that email, and claim to be about “reconciliation” is beyond me. How people can behave like this, and act like they’re on the moral high ground is also beyond me. I feel like all I do lately is talk about the problems, and the nonsense but I feel the obliged to comment to show this is no reflective of Indigenous people and that nonsense should always be called out.
Lindsay Shepherd@NewWorldHominin

I tried asking APTN what their involvement is in the CBC "prank show." Their comms director accidentally sent me an internal email stating that they were going to ignore my inquiry because I'm just a lowly Canadian citizen and not a media outlet (not that they will give a sufficient answer to the media either.) I followed up and asked who I can contact then, and they just didn't respond. It's actually crazy that these taxpayer-supported institutions think that they don't need to answer to anyone. They don't even think I deserve a modicum of an answer to my questions, even though they shouldn't be difficult to respond to.

@realmaxgenest You live in Murderpeg? Dude sympathies, I lasted 4 months before moving elsewhere. No one I know who lives there likes it. I'm in the smaller version 6 hours away in NWO, four bodies in one week. I'm moving to rural Alberta in a couple of months. I've had enough of the insanity.

@redpillb0t Legitimate question: Which Western citizens are blaming Russia for their problems? Other than Ukraine (for obvious reasons), does anyone blame Russia for their problems? I haven't heard ppl in the West blame Russia for much besides the war since 2016.

@preta_6 Thanks for trying to look out for this unwell young man & stop misinformation. I'm concerned about the impact going viral during a MH crisis might have on him later. It's not his views that got him on a psych hold, it's his escalating behaviour & illness. Ppl don't seem to get it

Look, you all know that I'd be the first to cry foul if the Cdn gov't, or various provinces, were detaining persons under the Mental Health Act for being political dissidents. This is not an example of that. In this case, this man has been leaving a 12-page document (in small text) on people's vehicles. The final page contains photographs of the man's driver license and Social Insurance Number card (which I won't post to protect his privacy, although it doesn't seem that will make much difference at this point.) His document begins with a disclaimer to say that removing it from someone else's car is "willful obstruction of the course of justice under section 139 of the criminal code" and threatens people with 10 years in prison for doing so. It goes on to make criticisms of Bills C-9 and C-15. Later sections of the document include "nuclear fusion solved," and "holographic gravity has been verified via nuclear fusion" along with taking credit for his own "unified theory of gravity," plus a warning that he believes "they may be building a bomb with this tech." How many copies of this document this guy is leaving around the city, I'm not sure, but someone gave me their copy a few weeks back. He's clearly unwell. This now-viral post is misinformation. Full stop.

🚨Canada is now using Communist style tactics and The Mental Health Act to medically incarcerate people with dissenting Views. This man, Nicholas Jordan Wagter, was declared “certified” without so much as a psychiatric evaluation and forceably detained for having dissenting views of the government. In the Soviet Union, they invented “sluggish schizophrenia” to lock up political dissidents in psychiatric hospitals for years. China does the same today with Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs, and anyone questioning the CCP. Cuba still uses psychiatric wards as political prisons.

@MarcNixon24 Hey @RealAndyLeeShow & Marc, would you consider deleting the posts on Nick? He's not well & he's going viral. Imagine how you'd feel going viral while in a psychosis. It'd be pretty embarrassing to have everyone see your breakdown. Seems wrong to try & get views off an ill man.

@RealAndyLeeShow Once you know about the gaslighting, the impact doesn't hit as hard. Ngl, I'm pretty numb to a lot of it from all the research I've done. I'm not shocked by much. I don't think ppl will handle things well once they realize how badly we've been betrayed. It will get worse for sure

I believe he was going too deep on China Likely triggering an episode I can relate to his distress Seeing the magnitude of the PRC’s operations in Canada Is very distressing Especially if you are misunderstood and villainized for having genuine concerns By your government

Alright... This guy looked familiar so I did a bit of digging. His name is Nicholas Jordan Wagter. He's a biophysicist. He has a paper published online titled, Super Special Relativity. Interestingly, the paper is also published on the US NIH website (link in the thread below). He has three different X accounts and appears to be most active on Instagram (link is also below). What this looks like to me is a scenario where a super genius personality type has jumped down some rabbit holes and made some breakthroughs, but has also found some distressing things along the way. It appears this isn't his first contact with police. Based on the videos from his Instagram account it looks like he's had a few other run-ins. He's posted a number of screenshots and other text that could lead an observer to believe that he is potentially in the throes of a manic episode. I've known many personalities like the one he appears to have. They're incredibly fragile. They have difficulty communicating their theories and ideas to other people because even at baseline they're beyond what most of us can grasp. So over time they become increasingly isolated, which leads to a sort of mania where everything comes out all at once. I'm not saying he's mentally ill. But his behavior would definitely be alarming to people who don't know what they're dealing with. He's been traveling and delivering papers to a variety of government bodies—including MP's. His Super Special Relativity paper looks like a fascinating read. I think what Nicholas really needs is a friend who's willing to listen and can translate his ideas for him. Without a filter it would be easy to perceive him as crazy.

@TheReclamare @RealAndyLeeShow I agree. Looked at his IG, and it seems discovering gov't corruption sent him over the edge. His behaviour has escalated over the last couple of months. I hope he gets some help. Seems like an intelligent, educated guy. Just the type to mask symptoms until psychosis hits.

@greg_scott84 Check out his IG. His behaviour has escalated over the last couple of months, which could be the reason for the psych hold. He seems well educated & intelligent, but something is off in his videos. I agree context is missing & questions should be asked.

Everyone needs to calm down over this one. There's some important context missing, here. This would generally only happen in Canada if someone has expressed to a psychiatrist that they intend to harm themselves or someone else. If that doctor isn't able to have them detained at the time, they refer it to the police. It sounds like they have been trying to get in contact with him for this reason. They couldn't find him when they went looking for him, so there was most likely a BOLO issued. His plate got picked up and the officer would have had a note to detain him. Without the missing context, though, it's difficult to say, but it seems like this is the most likely scenario. So, no, police aren't just pulling people over and then arbitrarily taking them off to psych wards.
Braeden@BraedenSorbo

I have not seen anybody talking about what’s going on in Canada right now. This man was pulled over and told by police that he had to come with them because a psychiatrist labeled him “certifiable.” No paperwork, no rule of law, just a doctor saying that if he didn’t come with him right then and there that he would be arrested. The fact that a government could do this is terrifying.

Alberta Independence supporters; It’s time to diversify and grow the audience. It’s time to engage in discussions. Undecided voters have questions and there are answers. Respectful and thought out answers. I’d challenge you to engage with others in a positive way both in and out of your normal circles and platforms. Push the envelope. Look for opportunities to share your reason for supporting an Independent Alberta, respectfully. Have the courage and fortitude to engage respectfully with those who disagree. Thats what democratic civic engagement is all about. Remember to stay on the high road. If you have a thick skin and want to have some fun in the lions den, join me on Bluesky as well 😉
