Our 1st, 2nd, & 3rd graders took a trip to Cavella Farm where they learned the ropes of animal care 🐷🐐and dove into nature🍃, exploring the creek and getting creative in the "mud kitchen." What a day filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

This week, our 7th and 8th graders ventured to Great Falls, VA, for a transformational outdoor experience designed to build resilience, teamwork, confidence, and connection.✨

A great matchup during our recent MDIS World Cup Soccer Match! ⚽ Game 1 ended in a tie, but after shootouts, Team Nigeria won 3-2. Team Egypt won Game 2, 3-0. The teams will face off on May 12th after school! We can't wait to cheer everyone on!

Our Model United Nations students recently visited the U.S. Department of State for their culminating event of the school year!

Huge shoutout to our MDIS PYP Dance Team! 🎉⭐ They just hit the stage for their first national dance competition, and we couldn't be prouder! Our talented dancers and dedicated coaches poured their hearts into this season and their hard work was displayed. 👏👯

During a recent field trip to Poplar Island, our 5th graders released Squirtle the Terrapin back into his natural habitat after caring for him and observing his growth in the classroom this school year. 🏝️🐢

While teachers participated in professional development, our School's Out session this week included bird watching, outdoor yoga, a STEM challenge, a nature scavenger hunt, and lots of fun with friends!

What an incredible Earth Day Festival! 🌎💚Our students showcased their projects that highlighted the vital roles our ecosystems play - from bustling coral reefs and tree-filled forests, to the pollinating world of bees and butterflies! 🪸🌳🐝🦋

Our 10th graders presented their MYP Personal Projects to family and classmates during an exhibition to showcase their work as they move into the IB Diploma Programme next year. Congratulations to our soon-to-be 11th graders!

What an adventure! Our 4th, 9th and 10th graders explored the Howard County Conservancy for their Earth Day Field Experience. 🐻🍃They delved into the importance of preserving our land and its rich legacy for future generations! 🌎💚
