@extcom They become hostile when they realize that they can’t take advantage of you, and that you stand up for yourself or for principles. They don’t respect you, and are mere hustlers. That’s probably one of the reasons I’m so hated by the ladies of the domain name sewing circle. 😇

One thing I learned over the past couple of days, since posting the article on LinkedIn, is that there are a huge number of obscure or self-described “domain brokers” (who inundated me with connection requests) that I (and probably few others) have ever heard of….it’s pretty sad. [As a matter of policy I don’t accept LinkedIn connections from those involved in domain brokering, due to past abuse; too often they’d tell others they had an inside track to my company’s domains, which is laughable given my strict “Principals Only” approach to negotiations.] On the bright side, it shows that the true “moat” continues to be the ownership of the best domains, something far more scarce than the oversupply of “brokers.”
