Excellent work led by @DTIC_UPF (@bekfa, Jesús Minguillón and @AntoniIvorra), in collaboration with @Fraunhofer, @filipe_obarroso from @NeuralEngLab @InstitutoCajal - @CSIC and @BecariosFLC, @AJdelAma from @URJC, Hospital Gregorio Marañón from @SaludMadrid and @HNParaplejicos.

Researchers from the @extend_project showed, for the first time in humans, the use of coupling by volume conduction as a wireless power transfer (WPT) and bidirectional communications method to operate networks of wireless devices.

This was a great collaboration between @extend_project (led by @NRG__CSIC from @InstitutoCajal, @CSIC) and @La_UPM. Other consortium partners had a key role too: @SaludMadrid @imperialcollege @AbilityLab. This work is supported by the @extend_project #H2020.

Long short-term memory neural networks accurately predicted pathological tremor signals in essential tremor patients, outperforming results from previous studies. More info: ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/99048… and extend-project.eu/?p=632.

Researchers from @DTIC_UPF (including @bekfa, @Jesús Minguillón, @PiTudela, and @ Albert Comerma), led by @AntoniIvorra, developed semi-implantable devices and validated them in vitro and in vivo.

@DTIC_UPF @bekfa @PiTudela @AntoniIvorra BHNS consists of distributed networks of #intramuscular wireless microsensors and microstimulators that communicate with external systems for analyzing #neuromuscular activity and performing #stimulation or controlling external #devices.
