@mreflow Stop. Take care of yourself. Burnout are not easy to overcome. For me, thanks to my spouse, she took care of everything around the house, the kids, etc. My only job was to reenergize myself. I woke up, got out of bed and binged watch ALL of Dexter without really watching.

How have you dealt with burnout in the past? I could use some tips. I wouldn’t say I’m massively burnt out but definitely feeling it a bit. I keep up with the news and new AI tools daily and still really enjoy that aspect. However, I’ve dropped down to averaging just one video per week to break it all down instead of trying to make a new video for every new thing. That’s helped a lot and I think people appreciate a weekly update as opposed to a bombardment of daily updates. I have this constant nagging in the back of my mind that I should be producing more. I want to create more. I have ideas for more videos. I just find myself not pushing forward on them and not feeling that excited by any of them. Again, not feeling massively burnt out. I’m still excited and inspired by everything happening in tech and AI. I’m just struggling to get myself to actually make the next move on content ideas I’ve had. I’m not a lazy person and I’ve always felt motivated to make the next thing. But lately, I’ve been feeling like it’s a struggle to just make moves that used to feel easy and autopilot for me. My gut is telling me it’s burnout but even a Hawai’i vacation and dramatically decreased content schedule hasn’t seemed to get me over the hurdle. I don’t typically like sharing this kind of thing publicly but I know there are people here who have dealt with this and can share some pointers. 🙏

Someone just asked me how people got Taylor Swift tickets that were "sold out." Well, nothing is ever "sold out" in the land of resell sites. Like ever. Yes, you will pay a pretty premium, but Taylor Swift tickets by the thousands were available on @StubHub and @TickPick each and every single day of her concerts. I know this because I bought tickets to see Taylor Swift one short hour before her show started (purchased @TickPick). We watched the price tracker on the site for days and, eventually, one late afternoon resell prices started to drop very quickly, so we bought two. I'm not sure I love this system of reselling tickets to the highest bidder, but it's certainly worth explaining in a national newspaper that "sold out" concert tickets are always available online in 2024 (on resell sites) vs implying that acquiring tickets is a threat to national security. In short, you don't acquire them, you just buy them. Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one vs stirring up drama. Oh, and happy Saturday. 🌞

Just got that call you never want to get. My amazing Dad was just admitted into the hospital in Charlottetown. His doctor is only giving him a couple of days to live, so on our way to #PEI to say goodbye. He has fought AML so hard over these past 6 months after a sudden diagnosis that turned our lives around. He was so healthy, in his 70s and working out daily. We've had many good weeks over these past couple of chemo months that we thought he might have more time, but clearly cancer has other plans 😢.
