Prof. John Mearsheimer on Iran War: He (Trump) can’t walk away. He’s stuck. He’s going up the escalation ladder. He’s looking for a way to win this. The problem is, he can’t fix it. Escalation is not a strategy. The Iranians can outlast us. Are we going to accept defeat? This is the United States of America — we don’t lose. Once you move up the escalation ladder, it’s very hard to climb back down. I don’t see how he gets out of this without doing something with those ground troops.

When we've reached that point in time when you need to explain (at least to some), that it is literally and metaphorically about the weight of the cross one bears, *not* the amount of crosses one has tattooed, that's when you know the world isn't doing quite well.

⛅️Back in the days, we used to proudly boast that Lebanon was a country of four seasons, in a year. Today we still offer four seasons, but in the same day.
Maybe our Tourism Ministry can use that free advice to promote the sector. Or why bother, tourists come no matter what?🤷🏻♀️

This is beyond an issue of access, or lack of, to Christianity’s most holy sites at the eve of Easter. It’s about who we’re dealing with.

2/2 What a shame.
The *PRESS* vest should be the only protection war journalists should need. This isn’t about protective equipment, this is about an utter disregard for journalism and the impunity Israel gets for it.

1/2 After everything journalists have gone through in Lebanon and Palestine, some still do not have it in them to condemn Israel for deliberately targeting journalists on the line of duty, blaming them instead for not wearing proper gear and being in areas under strike alerts.
