Not that anyone cares, but just as an update: he got a Kia Sorento PHEV.

Twitter! My younger bro totaled his car & needs a new one. It's a family of four. They go on frequent ski/camping trips in the mountains, so they want an SUV, preferably three rows, with 4WD. They would also like it to be as electric as practically possible. Suggestions?

@drvolts our sorento phev has been great so far (18 months in)

I should add: he doesn't want pure electric. He's not comfortable driving 2 hours away from civilization in the frozen mountains with only a battery. I think a plug-in hybrid would be ideal.
