The focus should be voicing your disdain and push back against genAI, pressuring them financially and socially, the target is the COMPANY. Not the PLAYERS. It’d be wonderful to have a joint effort in mass log-out and abstain from purchasing anything in IDV. HOWEVER (1/2)

it is thanks to idv, its characters and the longtime support from the community for 6+ years that i've allowed myself to grow as an artist and push myself to wildly create. despite everything, it's beautiful to see so much people care for what only real human artists can make.

@shll_07 -real human working on the background elements of your paid skins? This further discourages people from buying the product. Feels like a really thoughtless move from a company that no longer respects its customers

@KingParoxysm Its harder to prove because of paintover, but the general use of genAI is to cut costs and push visibility for corporations, replacing BG artists with genAI. For me, it’s still slop and greed has taken over this company. Calling out its behavior is necessary imo

@shll_07 TIL this, thank you! This is especially confusing indeed bc Lucky has been optimized and his face definitely is different than the OG sprite. While not genAI (maybe), this is still another kind of lazy that needs to be called out for, especially for a company this successful
