New regulations in full effect 💥 After only two races and a sprint, there are already 32(!) DNFs you could have hit this #F1Fantasy season! For reference, in 2025 we only had 142 in total (<6 per round). We managed to avoid 31 of them. Who avoided all 32?

Our take is that, in an ideal world, it’s a combination of both, although we have to side more with SMarksTheSp0t on this one. The relative comparison between teams should only be done based the amount of points they gained compared to the team they were otherwise going to run. Comparing to ‘the best meta team’ is not really relevant if you were never going to play the meta team anyway. You can also phrase it as: “Wow, I’m lucky I played LL here, because otherwise I would have played a team very far off the meta that would have cost me a lot of points relative to them!”.

Here's a more detailed view of all our #F1Fantasy choices this week and their impact on points and budget. 144 LL impact is great - and accurate, because we would have likely just stayed on our round 1 team since it was set up perfectly for budget gains already. LAW -> LIN was purely for the improved price change odds, so while a 28 point swing is not ideal, we don't mind that decision. Ranks are looking a lot better than last year after round 2! Happy with the start of the season so far.

LIMITLESS WAS A FLOP IN CHINA! The delta between the most common Limitless and my team that used no chips is only 41 points. I don't think many LL users put the 2x on Kimi over George or picked BEA over VER/NOR/PIA 464 points for my T1 w NO CHIPS is insane #F1Fantasy

@azaaack The page that calculates the optimal teams based on the actual results is called Hindsight and can be found here: f1fantasytools.com/hindsight The page you're probably looking at that looks similar but uses projections is the Team Calculator!

When we load in our own team, our best option would have been to take a -30 hit to go to MER+FER+ANT + all the best midfielders. Our optimal team without taking hits was getting ANT and LAW for 432 points. We did not consider making these moves but still interesting to see the swings.

@FPL_DIY You're right! We should have added another 'very' before 'good' and upgraded 'great' to 'amazing', because the scores were indeed exceptionally high today. We simply meant there was an opportunity for a most likely highest ever X3 impact if you put the x3 on ANT.

@f1fantasytools I think your underplaying the 3x chip there to be honest, hardly anyone would have played the 3x on ant. Getting double his points in a week where majority of people would have got his normal points is big, and then George still had a great weekend for triple points.

The official scores have finally been updated by #F1Fantasy! 🎉 Overall a good week. It was definitely not the perfect week to play LL with a DNF for all popular 5th drivers and lots of midfielders scoring high, but it’s fine overall. The setup was too good to ignore! X3 was better, but you really needed the x3 to be on ANT to have a great chip impact instead of just a good one. Non-chip teams (particularly FER+MER+ANT teams) that avoided DNFs are probably the biggest winners this weekend. There are some absurdly high scores out there! 🤩 Are you one of them? Show us those monster scores below!

This was a possible non-chip #F1Fantasy team today 😮 (It's 103.2M, so you needed to have a great team last race and then use WC to go into this FER+MER team without transfer penalties. So unlikely, but possible!)
