Difference between a populist government and Raja Dharma. Do you choose majority (votes) or morality (Dharma)? If law aids a false complaint against an innocent because of his birth, no punishment to the accuser (who made fake allegation) because of his birth, is it Dharma?

@DineshDrushya In Old Mysore region, in previous generation, almost all Brahmins used Anna (joint or unit families). But we were aware, other communities called their father as Appa So when we were referring about our father, we referred to him as “Nam tande” because Anna would confuse them

Is there any backstory why some Kannadigas address their father as Anna? My mom called her father Anna and my dad called his father Appayya. Both of them are from Malnad.

Why are we living? What is the purpose? What comes after this life? Why does anything exist at all? There are no universally accepted scientific answers to these questions. The most common material explanation can feel emotionally unsettling: that life is simply a temporary biological process. One day it ends, consciousness disappears, and you cease to exist. Not only do you die, but your awareness itself vanishes. You won't even know that you no longer exist because the very thing that experiences, remembers, and feels would be gone. For many people, that thought creates an existential vacuum. Belief in God fills that vacuum with meaning. Life becomes a journey rather than a random event. Suffering can have purpose. Death becomes a transition rather than absolute erasure. Instead of "I exist briefly and then disappear forever," it becomes "I am here for a reason and my existence has meaning beyond the physical." Whether God exists or not is a separate debate, nor am I urging anyone to believe in God, but psychologically it is understandable why faith can make people happier. It offers answers where uncertainty can feel frightening, and certainty itself gives the mind rest.

@PoojaPriyam_ 2/2 Liberals call 1 as a crime, conservatives consider 2 as a crime. I don’t want to label any of the cultures as crime; any family/society subscribing to any of the two cultures as criminals. I feel sorry for the life lost, but can’t take side on friction before.

@PoojaPriyam_ 1/2 Ever since “My Choice” video, I realised two incompatible cultures in India. 1)Holds a cultural presumption; a) Their partner is virgin before marriage b) There is (sexual) commitment in future. 2) Consensual sex (before or after marriage) is not wrong.

So to the dismay of my former in-laws and also my parents I restricted guest list to 20 people each side, the marriage happened at an inexpensive local hall and no expensive gifts were exchanged. Of course it didn't go down well with the in-laws, for the 13 years I was in that marriage there was always comparison because the other bahu's family used to give expensive gifts at all occasions and I didn't however, I bore 50% expenses of our lives including that of everyday things and vacations etc. I divorced also with zero alimony too. We exist.

So, the exact theory is that some from Pakistan (south asia) is claiming ki uske CBSE ke paper physics mei kam number aaye hai? Baaki saare sahi hai but physics mei answer sheet alag hai. But he is from Pakistan? So what's the plan here? How will it become national security issue? Also the child physical location is known to be in india.

Just spoke to Vedant’s brother. Their issue is genuine. He and his family are under immense distress due to certain social media posts falsely calling him “Pakistani” and targeting him personally. The family is already suffering because of the incompetence and fault of CBSE. They are currently in contact with CBSE, and if their issue is not resolved, they will take legal action against the Board. I discussed everything in detail with his brother and assured him of my full support. I will not charge any professional fee for any legal action in this matter. #CBSE
Adv.Vineet Jindal@vineetJindal19

I don’t know why, but despite many efforts from me and others, Vedant did not come forward to share his paper to approach the court. I even messaged him in DM, but still received no reply. Some posts suggested that this account is fake as based in south asia.

Another aspect that I’m surprised no one has noticed yet is how journalism failed here. An Indian journalist, @sidhant, can’t even name the person he was hinting at. Just a few days ago, there was a hue and cry over Helle Lyng’s comments on press freedom in India, and now a journalist in his own country can’t name the U.S. president. This is reflective of the fact that we have no press freedom. Also, the journalist is from Godi media and is so conditioned that he can’t even name Trump as it would make his masters in India very angry. So, there it is.
Asma@asmatasleem13

Indian journalist @sidhant questioned U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio over racist remarks originating from America. Marco Rubio responded: “Stupid people make such comments. Every country has stupid people.” And we already know who that “stupid person” is — the one who referred to India as a “hellhole.”

@DosaSpeaks A teaser should have interesting glimpses from the movie which pulls audience to movie. That’s what is the concept of teaser If clips shown in teaser are not part of the movie, or if teaser was not able to pull audience (instead made them repel), purpose of teaser is defeated

@Pallavi_vp65 @karthik2k2 MIL was actually accusing Trisha of drug usage. Yes. She used “he” instead of “she”. But in the context, it is very clear that she just misspelt and she meant Trisha.

This doesn't look like a straightforward dowry case. The conversation shows an irreconcilable difference in culture. Take their respective understanding of promiscuity for example. The brother seems to believe that if a woman has multiple sex partners, but in series , that's fine. In his mind, she's virtuous because she is with only one person at any given time. To him, concurrency > total. The MIL seems to believe in the total number of partners is what matters. If the total number is "high" (a subjective threshold≥1), she considers that promiscuity. These are two fundamentally different world views. The only solution to avoid such gross mismatch of values is to do due diligence before marriage.
barkha dutt@BDUTT

Incontrovertible evidence of how Twisha Sharma was abused and maligned by her husband and his mother emerges on tape. Imagine a mother in law who asks her daughter in law about her sexual history, former partners, accusing her of promiscuity- and comparing her to a prostitute, while, her son, calls his wife a R##ndi . Who made this lady a judge ? I was truly chilled to the bone when I heard this audiotape - where Twisha Sharma’s brother, a serving major in the army confronts his sister's mother in law and takes her on for the constant harassment of Twisha. On April 22nd days before she was tragically found dead in the judge’s home, the family secretly recorded what may now stand as one of the most chilling windows into the cruelty Twisha endured inside her marital home. In the audio, accessed exclusively by Mojo Story, Former Judge, Giribala Singh can be heard brazenly defending her son against the complaint that he called cTwisha a “r*ndi” . She can be heard aggressively saying that it’s her right to know whether her daughter in law has had multiple partners in the past. And then- that oldest trope in the world- she questions her morality, accuses her of promiscuity and invokes parallels with prostitutes ( used in this context as an abuse by her) , language so vile, so dehumanising, it is hard to listen to without outrage. @Shrabonti “How many partners a man and woman had before being married to each other should concern the couple alone”. Fine. Had Trisha made it known to her husband before marriage? She had consensual sex, nothing to be ashamed of. Then why not state it frankly before marriage?

@thegirl_youhate @adityaK54844841 In that conversation, Trisha’s mother in law was telling Triaha’s brother that, Trisha’s father said Trisha had drug issues. (She used the word “he” instead of “she”. But the way she used it in the context, it is clear that she was referring to Trisha, not her son).

@ShivAroor @ndtv I feel sorry for the life lost, but can’t take sides. It is not a friction between two families. It is between two incompatible cultures. Q: A cultural presumption where one assumes their partner (girl/boy) is virgin, no more holds good in India? Is such expectation a crime?

@MattLaemon If a girl or boy has dated, had consensual sex and not ashamed of it, why hide it in the name of privacy? Many Indian girls & boys presume, the partner they are going to marry is virgin. If you think this cultural presumption is wrong, correct it before you enter a relationship

Receiving thousands on comments for justification regarding Twisha Sharma’s death. Men want to date girls. But they don’t want to marry those girls who date before marriage. They want to marry the other kind of girls. Where will the dated girls go? Who dated them? The very men who judge.. what twisted world do we live in
