@vdcalhoun @biorxiv_neursci Where do you see the phrase 'reintroduced motion' in the paper. Regardless, consider high-pass filtering followed by motion regression. Unless the motion regressors are similarly filtered wouldn't you agree that signal will appear in frequencies previously filtered? Same idea.

@biorxiv_neursci @fMRIstats I'm also not quite following the logic...if we remove orthogonal motion, then process further, yes the output can be correlated w/ motion, but that does not mean it 'reintroduced motion', that would violate the data processing inequality, yes?
