When does rank really matter in FPL? Every year you see managers panicking after GW1 saying things like “I’m ranked 1M+, season over!” But is it actually the case? Looking at the Elite 1000 group’s past seasons, early ranks are all over the place. With the game getting tougher each year (more players, better content, sharper tools), starting ranks have become even more volatile. But if you track the trend, something interesting appears: around GW15 the chaos starts to settle. By then, ranks usually begin to stabilise and the overall trajectory for the season becomes clearer. From the data, being inside the top ~500k by GW15 looks like a solid position to push towards a strong finish. Before that, even a “bad” start isn’t terminal — there’s still plenty of ground to make up.

Finished inside the top 30k. It’s a personal best, and preseason I would have snapped your hand off for it. But honestly? It feels a little disappointing right now. I guess the appetite grows with eating! I’ll skip the boring summary about transfers and chips. Instead, I just want to shout out a few managers who made the journey fun: 🤝 @KustoszFPL - landing on the exact same GW1 team. 🤝 @BigBallzz_Pod - exact same GW6 WC. Great minds! Special mention to two absolute top managers and FPL cartel members, @___Brun___ and @MarkkuOjala_ . I was so lucky to be able to bounce ideas off you and learn from you both this season. 🧠 Finally, a shoutout to my 'FPL' WhatsApp group @fplpoland @mariuszmisiorek @LoneWolfFPL Half the group basically retired from FPL, so instead of fantasy, it’s just us talking about Bruno, football legends, and deep moral/philosophical dilemmas. 🍻🧘‍♂️ Last but not least - @szescdwa are we not playing next season?

Tiny green in 38 but not quite enough to get inside the top 1k. An odd season but very happy to ride the posvar to my 3rd best ever rank.

Sezon 25/26 przechodzi do historii. Mój Kessel Run zalicza bardzo udany start, OR 2997 i powrót po latach do top10k. Nawet zielona strzałka wpadła w GW38. Na ostatniej prostej, dzięki trafionej opasce na Bruno, udało się również wyprzedzić przyjaciela @mrataj94 Nie pamiętam tak zaciętej rywalizacji w ligach, wyłącznie słupek Salaha i brakujące DC dały mi 4 pkt zwycięstwo. Podziękowania dla @MateuszJaro za fenomenalną organizację zlotu, dla @GRUWWA za wszystkie CPNT i wspaniałą biforkę i raz jeszcze dla Was wszystkich za te 38 kolejek przeglądarkowej zabawy. Do sierpnia nie będę tęsknić :)

The FPL season isn't quite over yet, but here’s my first reflection. I had the pleasure of competing in the negVardy mini-league this year, and what a refreshing experience it was! The heart of it all was the great community in the negVardy thread on the analytics Discord. 🤝 For context, the negVardy ML is made up of 24 managers who experienced massive negative variance to qualify. Basically, you had to have scored at least 75 points less than what the FPL Review model predicted you should have. People naturally think crying "bad luck" is just a cheap excuse, but let’s look at how these 24 "unlucky" managers actually performed this season: 📈 9/24 finished in the top 10k 📈 18/24 finished in the top 100k 📈 22k median overall rank Those are seriously impressive stats. A huge shoutout to all the players involved. Thanks for a fantastic season, and good luck in the future! 👏⚽️

Final OR pending OPTA updates: 5.7k We end with a small red but extremely happy to bounce back with a top 10k finish(7th in the last 11 seasons but who's counting?)after finishing little under 900k last season. Turns out the reports of me being washed are greatly exaggerated.
